I don't think they are saving any money these days

way back when they set it,people would actually sit outside and not turn on the AC till bed time,we didn't have AC till us kids where out of the house :)

Well, I'll apparently take the unpopular route....

I don't care one bit.

I understand the astronomical reasons and agricultural/everyone liking an extra hour at the end of the day reasons.

I don't care about changing my clock twice a year many months apart. I just don't care.

Long live DST! Haha

Why don't they just split the difference? Just move it ahead 30 min from standard time and leave it there.

I just wish they would pick one or the other and leave it alone. There's no need to make everyone reset the clocks every 6 months.

My sentiments exactly. Now that we're down to just 4 months of "Standard Time", it's gotten even more ridiculous.

Saw an article yesterday where some New England States are even looking at going permanently to Atlantic Standard time.

I agree that time change is useless now, but NE going to Atlantic time makes no sense either.

I don't think it matters that much. 8 months out of the year they'd basically be on EDT anyway.

True. But if that's the case just adopt EDT permanently.

My least favorite part is working with European countries for VTCs and having to keep track of the timing differences and the difference between Eastern and Zulu time. It's ridiculously stupid that countries don't switch between Daylight time and Standard time at the same moment.
