-VQIMG offensive tackle Jordan Seaton will be at Colorado this weekend for an official visit. Based off people we have spoken to, the Buffalos are down the list for Seaton. Tennessee, Oregon, Ohio State, Florida and Alabama are his top list of schools with Oklahoma still heavily in the mix too. He will take an official to Tennessee in two weeks with a trip to Ohio State still left this month. The Vols continue to be positioned well but with all these visits, the entire recruitment is extremely fluid.
It’s November, he’s still not close to a decision, and “recruitment extremely fluid”
really we only "know" what VQ tells us.Yeah but he’s 18 trying to figure out where to go to college with all these big time schools rolling out the red carpet for him.
And we have no idea how fluid his recruitment is. We only know what he or someone around him tells VQ.
I think it’s interesting that he is a high profile recruit whose recruitment was fairly silent up until the season started. Think he was considered a heavy bama lean and now all of a sudden that’s not the case. Wide open battle leaves a lot of opportunity for a relationship to come out of the woodwork and that’s why I’m hopeful that our need, coaching, and offensive prowess could have us emerge as the place to be.Yeah but he’s 18 trying to figure out where to go to college with all these big time schools rolling out the red carpet for him.

Cain & Hubbs are employees of IMG, VRN.really we only "know" what VQ tells us.
we don't know if they are slanting their info, or if they are which way they are slanting it.
we don't know what they were actually told, or what is just their opinion based on their own personal feelings.
Unless its a direct quote of someone I take everything they say with a big big grain of salt.
they aren't experts, and they rarely actually have "insider" info, whatever that actually means. some of them don't even seem to actually even talk to anyone directly involved. not the player, not our coaches, not their coaches, not family members; at best they talk with other "industry experts". They clearly push stories out first with little emphasis on fact checking, or even spell check, and they clearly push the stories to sell clicks, not actual information.
Your first sentence applies to every recruit. Sounds like you have 0 respect for what VQ says which is fine, probably smart. But them saying it’s fluid at this point usually means money. And he’s a top OT so of course schools are throwing cash at him.Yeah but he’s 18 trying to figure out where to go to college with all these big time schools rolling out the red carpet for him.

where did I say that no-one had any inside info?Cain & Hubbs are employees of IMG, VRN.
Hubbs graduated from UT. Worked with Bobby at WIVK (Dick Broadcasting). So, to say he doesnt have any insider info, is ridiculous.
They tell us what they think we need to hear, circularly. Usually, if you pick up the general idea, or theme. You can piece things together.
I listened to all 4 VQ PC's on way back from WV yesterday I mean, how many times can you really talk about 1 game? AP even said as much on the PC. Paraphrasing, I love it when we know things, and no one else knows. I like to keep things suspenseful, because it makes it less boring.
Now, you glean from that what you will.
Its a free podcast.where did I say that no-one had any inside info?
what does inside info ACTUALLY mean. he talks to the person who washes the sweat towels? Is he talking to someone back in the HR department? Is he talking to a coach? Did they talk specifics about a specific player. or did they just feel good about where they were? Is it first hand info, from the player or a coach, or is it second/third hand talking to the ball boy who heard an assistant coach mention a recruit once? Is it a steady stream of info, the random nugget? lots of questions about what it means to be insider info.
I graduated from UT, so that doesn't add any credence to Hubbs. I also know a couple people who worked, one still may, at WIVK, am I an insider? there seems to be an INCREDIBLY low bar to what provides insider clearance.
they tell us what we WANT to hear. its literally their job to keep you listening/clicking. as you noted with 4 VQ PC. even your paraphrase of Price he is admitting to selling click bait to make things interesting. They may know more than me, but passing themselves off as any sort of expert, or someone with a worthwhile amount insider knowledge is pretty laughable.
I think it is also has to do with the fact that going into the spring he was considered more of an IOL prospect. He reshaped his body though and has become arguably the top OT prospect in the country, which obviously increases the interest from elite programs like UT/Bama/Oregon et al.I think it’s interesting that he is a high profile recruit whose recruitment was fairly silent up until the season started. Think he was considered a heavy bama lean and now all of a sudden that’s not the case. Rankings are all fine and well, but the fact that he's an OL....specifically an OT...is what makes me smile. I'll take every OL/DL we can get in this class and in the portal. If Vols get this kid it moves Tennessee from 12th to 6th and moves the average commit rating 91.70 to over 92.00 just behind Bama
