Please tell me you are not counting every high profile recruit that we do not pony up for is a failure. Making those kinds of assessments before the end of the HS and portal windows is just plain stupid. Best use of resources cannot be measured till fall rosters are available for analysis. NOT exceeding an established value for a player IS NOT a failure.

It APPEARS to me that the staff has winked at our collective and have held some cards (money) to apply in the portal for more experienced players, some for retention, some for acquisition. Bet they have access to some info on portal probabilities with common interest through the player network. Your yelling FIRE every single time a player OF INTEREST goes elsewhere is making your agenda pretty transparent.

I don’t like that statement. I’ve thought Vol for a while, but that statement and the fact Oregon had their coaches in LA already before the news he was out there even broke, makes me start to feel uneasy. BVS is kicking in. Add to that the post earlier from the supposed Oregon insider that they dropped a large bag. Have a bad feeling we come in 2nd again today.

As an aside - just as we saw the California tight end offer tweet come out a few hours before Salamanderpongo picked Oregon,,,, if we see Herron or some other portal tackle tweet an offer before Seaton announces, I’d say that’s a solid indicator it’s not going our way.

I’d be willing to bet part of our pitch to Seaton is the chance to compete for a starting job day one - and if you offer a portal tackle it’s likely for them to play immediately.

LT: Campbell
LG: Transfer/Karic/Sham
C: Mays
RG: Spraggins
RT: Seaton/Vet until Seaton is ready.

Seaton moves to LT in 25 and hopefully Warren develops and is the RT.

You’re probably right about Campbell, but I’d bet money that Spraggins has been playing LG.

I guess by not saying “No” the remaining teams are thinking “Yes”? This is a tough one. He could have received a late bag from Oregon and it be over now.

And this is the big key- the goon refs let them get away with it all day long. Same with their db's they are holding and having their hands on opponent wr's all day long. Pretty ridiculous. Not excuses just damn facts.

Good grief dude. No I am not counting every high profile recruit we miss as a failure. We are not gonna win all these battles. But there are certain players I have felt like the NIL has failed us. I have only wanted one coach fired and that’s Martinez. I feel like he is holding this team back. Banks is arguable although I don’t really like him.

I mean your point about being selective with resources is understandable but there are teams out there that are pouring tons of resources into getting guys. Freeze at Auburn for example. I mean he is visiting 5* FSU commit KJ Bolden. Why aren’t we visiting these guys? My agenda? My agenda is simply this. I want the best players. I want Spyre and TN to do everything they can to get those players. That’s the agenda. If that’s not your agenda then why be a fan? Don’t you want TN to be the powerhouse college football program? Good grief man.
