I want to personally thank you for your time in Knoxville. You have helped considerably in making the University I love the most to become a much more attractive job. I enjoyed the highs that you and the program attained the past 6 years. Although my stance on you will never change, I am grateful in the successes you have had here.

Sincerely,

NYYVol

Great post. Bruce built the current foundation for Vols basketball. Time for a new coach to take it to the next level.

That was a very sad way to potentially end "the Golden Era of Tennessee Basketball."

It won't end if UT gets this hire right. It will, however, likely take a hiatus of a year or two due to the mess of a roster the new coach is going to inherit.

Great post. I want to thank him for his time here and dedication to the program. He put his heart into this program and it was such a sad sight to see everybody so deflated and drained today. Everyone from the head coach to the last guy off the bench looked mentally roasted, and it almost brought me to tears seeing this team and season end like this. I feel for the guys on this team, especially the seniors. Good luck in the future Coach Pearl.

Good post. Not a big fan atm, but his efforts are the reason we're positioned to move forward.

Dear Bruce Pearl,

Thank you. It's been an amazing 6 years. But that's what we do here at Tennessee, we fire our most successful coaches, just like we did with Fulmer. I hope the next guy builds on what you left him, a winning program, but this being Tennessee basketball, it's more than likely they will screw it up and hire some genius like Wade Houston or Kevin O'neil.

Hats off to the greatest UT Basketball coach ever...

Sincerely,
Boseefus The Vol

I hope we keep scheduling the same kind of teams that we have been. That is the thing that stood out to me was all of the big out of conference wins the past six yrs. Good luck coach----Hope u remain a vol.

Didn't take long for this thread to devolve into ridiculousness

For believing in Tennessee Basketball and all of your hard work to show that it could be done here. That will be the main reason for this program's success in the future.

Regardless of who you are, what you have done, or where you go from here, in my book you are a Vol For Life.
