I am so sorry to you coach pearl lovers but this is NOT acceptable,getting killed by a under 500 team and cant even make a layup on a steal(jp prince)and shooting 3 pointers 24/7 and not making them.were lazy out there and cant do jack ..i bet tobias harris is regreting that he ever signed with us,this is just pethetic to watch that a top 10 team cant even play a AWFUL team...they cant even make rebounds,make FTs,this is by far the WORST gme i have ever watched in tennessee basketball...im now a doubter of coach pearl and we will NEVER win a NC under him,im sorry but its the truth...this is plain out pethetic and its ovbious they didnt come ready to play....we have been held under 50 points in this game.were getting bullied by USC

I also believe this is unacceptable...your sentence structure, that is.

Seriously, though, this is one of the worst games ever played by us. And you're right, we will never win a NC under him, but I doubt that was an expectation the Hamilton gave him when he hired Pearl. I just want an SEC championship, but it looks like we may have missed our opportunity (thanks UK).

can anyone say fair weather fans.... and im assuming if we did just by chance beat Kansas or whatever that you'd all of a sudden be giving props to CBP. You all are just to quick to judge

Tenn will be lucky to make the tournament,this team has no discipline and all were watching is street ball at its worst.

You expected him to suddenly start demanding it? Getting no effort and allowing it is on the coach. Poor shooting and bad bounces happen. Defense and rebounding are rarely about shooting and bounces.

Do you really expect me to believe Bruce has won a ton of games at every institution he's been at without demanding effort from his players?

If they do they wont last long in the tourney,cant play def. has nothing on off. cant shoot free throws and the list goes on.I like Pearl but he needs to take control.

this is a joke Pearl.... what in the hell can anyone do 35 ft from the basket.... nobody even dribble drives... all they do is pass and pass and pass... everyone over 6'6 standing 30 feet away... terrible...:furious3:

He's holding them back when he refuses to make adjustments! The press hasn't worked all year and its definitely not working today, so why keep playing it and getting beat over the top? It happened numerous times vs MTSU and now again today. He continues to let Chism linger on the three-point line instead of telling him to keep his ass on the block and play like the 4/5 that he is. Very few big guys should be able to stop him or Brian with their size and speed (yes B. Williams is extremely quick for his size) yet they won't work it inside. Funny how Pearl's success has been with Buzz's recruits.

Yes. He runs and guns and wears guards down, which works until teams have guards good enough to dictate tempo. Those teams kill him because there is no offensive execution or defensive effort. The focus on boards is nonexistent, as the cherry picking by Hopson, Maze, Prince and Tatum will attest.

Maybe it's not just effort, but it's effort and focus on the stuff that wins. Watching people sulk or halfass through a few possessions says guys don't know what the coach wants or the coach has no mechanism for getting people to do what he wants.

This season is simply an extension of last season. All the variables are the same (players, coach, approaches, etc). I think many expected it to go essentially the same as last year. Just set your expectations to equal last year's results and the next 3 months will be more relaxing. Now if we fall off from last year significantly that will be a rough ride. Too early to tell on that.
