Good ol' Barney Fife is expected to be a homer, but try not to be a total idiot.

He didn't blame the time change, he just mentioned it as a factor in preparing for today. But all the teams there played under the same conditions as the LVs. He called the game for South Carolina with about 5 minutes to go. The Lady Vols choked big today.

I'd like to see John Wilkerson replace Mickey as announcer for LadyVol games sometime soon and maybe replace Bob one day calling Tennessee football and Men's basketball.

Key players playing poorly cost us today. Ariel didn't show up, the early fouls got in Graves' head and Burdick was off. Our bench isn't going to outplay SCAR's seniors and the SEC Player of the Year.

So, looks like someone pulled something out of their butt and started posting untrue statements about MD. Who'da thunk it.

I don't listen to the radio show, so have no idea what goes on there. As a color commentator, I'll take him. He knows the game. Like a former great UT broadcaster, he knows all the names of the players on our team and the opposing team and pronounces them correctly. He relates the score frequently. He knows a good call from a bad call and isn't afraid to voice it during the broadcast. He is an LV homer and I have no problem with that.

I'm not a big follower of Tennessee's Women's team. But, I have to admit, I caught one of their games on radio last season. And, Mickey Dearstone made it such a bad experience that I was over and out in about 15 minutes. Gosh, that guy was annoying. Maybe he was having a bad day, but I haven't been interested on radio at all after that.

He's probably one of the worst announcers I've ever listened to, so he must have a bad day every time he hits the air.

All of us who listened to john ward and bill Anderson all those years def got spoiled. Dearstone, on his morning radio show, comes across as a pompous a ss and rarely mentions lady vol basketball, but he is a decent play by play announcer. Now the one that bores me to death is Bob Kesling, who is a really nice guy, but should have stuck to anchoring the sports desk on WBIR.

Mickey Dearstone is the BEST play by play announcer is women's basketball. I have listened to him for years and I think he is great. Mickey tells it like it is and I think that great as well. Yeah he's old school but then so am I. I also like the morning show .

Apparently you folks have never listened to anyone else cause there are some terrible shows out there. He may be a Kentucky men's fan but, he is Lady Vols through and through when it comes to women's sports.

The change to daylight savings time does make me a bit sluggish on the first day (and alot of others around me) but as posted both teams had to endure it so it isnt much of an excuse for losing the game.
