I auditioned for The Client when I was a kid. I lived in NC at the time and auditioned in Raleigh. I got two call backs and was given about 30 pages of the script after the last call back. The person told me they really liked me and would be contacting me with potentially great news soon.
Never heard from them again. Later, I learned that some kid in TN sent in a video as an audition tape. After meeting the kid...he got the gig.
Because of that, I always tried to hate Brad Renfro, though he was perfect for most of the roles he got.
This post was more about me than Brad, but I wanted to share that story. I really thought I was going to get that role.

Love that movie. Not remembering its more "scary" parts I showed it to a group of 3rd graders a few years back...big mistake.

But I loved him in Tom and Huck....loved JTT too!!

I wrote JTT a fan letter when I was little. He was the still point in my turning world.

I've only seen Renfro in Ghost World. Very minor part. I've probably seen him in other movies as well but didn't know it was him. I didn't know he was from Knoxville. Just another reminder of Tennessee I can have whenever I watch that movie.
