Leaving: The only 3 who have decommitted are Michael Taylor, Delvin Jones, and Brandon Willis. And yes, Thompkins and Simms have already signed LOI.

Brandon Willis if he was on campus at 12:01 am he can't decimitt without NCAA punishment

Thompkins has been taken off scout.com for TN. But like above I thought he signed a LOI. TN has moved to 26 already.

Willis was supposed to arrive today, so he wasn't there last night. He's already commited to UNC.

So Thompkins is gone?

Thompkins had signed an LOI Per Rivals and Scout. If he wants to leave he can of course but he must sit out a year or go to a DII school. If he wants to go to a FBS school he will have to petition the NCAA and ask for a waiver to play for someone else next year. This hardly ever happens unless there is a death or something catastrophic.

IMO he will be a VOL or have to sit out a year. Tough deak for him. He needs to thank Lane and not blame UT though..

Thompkins has three years to play two, it's sounding like either one of two things:

1. He has no idea what he's doing right now.
2. He doesn't care about sitting out next year.

It looks like OU might be a destination.

Per Mike Hamilton's explanation of EE rules during his press conference this morning:

Any student-athlete who is ENROLLED at The University of Tennessee as of 12:01am Wednesday, January 13 is locked in via NCAA transfer rules and would have to sit out a year or go to DII if they wanted to play this year anywhere but UT. :geek:

Willis did not have to physically be in Knoxville in order to be enrolled at UT. If he had registered for classes that begin today, he would have had to cancel his enrollment Tuesday night before 12:01am Wednesday morning. Not sure if that happened, but if it didn't he should be locked into the same rules as all of our other EE's.

FWIW...Tennessee will be ok after the shock waves wear off.
