Come on guys I want to hear more views on how yall think we're going to stack-up defensively against teams with a good passing attack.I'm kinda of nervous to how this young group will adjust.

Things could get ugly be one thing the coaches seem to be able to do is plug up holes in the secondary.... it will be key that the LB's throw in good pass support...and we will need the D-line to slober-knock some folks and slow the passing game down (especially at FL and Ga) to take some pressure off the young players we've got back there and I got this itchy feeling on the back of my neck that our line and Lbs are gonna rock somebody's world this season :machinegun: :machinegun: :machinegun: :machinegun: :machinegun: :machinegun: :machinegun: :machinegun: :machinegun: :machinegun: :machinegun:

I agree with that,The d-line and linebackers do need to step-up and give some serious pressure.

You are right about that. If we can't get pressure consistently on the qb, good qbs could have a big night against our secondary. At least we have one good corner in Jason Allen.

That's what I'm afraid of is that the good Qb's will have a field day with us unless the d-line and Lb's step it up a notch or two.

Honestly, though, when is the last time we could feel really good about our secondary? Sure, we have had some good players come through in the past, but the secondart has never been the strength of our defense, and it seems like every year we are our strength is either on the line or with our linebackers.

That's what I mean, every year it seems we've got questions back there and every year the boys step up... but the boys up front are gonna have to step it up to give em time to cut their teeth.

I agree on the issue of d-line...we were too soft... I think this year there will be a boost with the growth of Parys Haralson and maybe a healthy Justin Harrell...Last year our tackles did too much catching the block and not enough attacking, reading and working off of the block...usually a sign of youth...

I think that it will all hinge on how the d-line can progress. If they can have a breakout year, then it will take pressure off of a weal secondary. I think intermeidate passes and short passes, will be handled just fine by the LBs. We could have some decent guys in the secondary, but they need game experience.

i wouldnt worry till injuries pop up. i think our defense isnt going to be lights out but they wont lose the game either.
