John Jancek Cinny's DC appears right now to be the choice but then again Jones still might look around. Jancek resume is actually pretty good and helped turned the Bearcat defense into a better unit than before.

* Was the LB coach at Georgia from 2005-2009 and in 2009 was co-DC

* Before he became the DC at Cinny they were 44th in Scoring Defense. In two years they moved to 20th and three years to 12th.

I'm pretty sure he has never been a DC other than this year. He has always a LB coach and got the co-DC title for a raise. Not saying he sucks or anything, I think he actually may have took over the DC role during the 2012 season, maybe at the beginning. IMO, he will be coming, but not as DC. JMO

I'd hope CBJ would look for a better DC, especially after saying he was gonna assemble the best staff in the country. Do I honestly expect him to put together the best staff? No, but I do expect him to do better than to bring most of his previous staff with him. Now I understand he will bring a couple with him to have a couple of people that do know his system but if he brings in a majority of his previous staff then I will be disappointed.

IMO, I can see him bringing his offensive staff here, I just don't see it being a popular opinion around here if he can't go out and get a big name DC.

Better than UT's D which ranked in the 100's in most categories..while playing many teams worse than Cincy..
