I've been watching replay and highlights of our first two games. Its obvious that we are much improved from last year. Both those teams had potential to take us to the wire and for the most part, we shut them down. Our oline and running game will improve, but our defense will keep us in this game Saturday. Dline-better than expected, AJ and Cam-wouldnt trade for anybody. I'm not saying we win, but it'll be close.

Defense will be tested to the Limit this week.

These will be the best athletes the Defense has seen this year.

We will make stops.

The problem is our Running Game and keeping the ball away from the Oklahoma Offense. The Less than are on the Field, the better.

Yep. The course of this game will come down to how much UT's D has improved. Knight is a better passer and has better receivers than USU or ASU. He is mobile but probably not the threat to run that Knighten and Keeton were.

UT's O just needs to stay on the field as much as possible to rest the D then take advantage when given opportunities.

I agree Oklahoma is a different game on another level, but I think they'll hang in there. Who knows if we can get our run game going what may happen.

True. It will also be the best D athletes OU's O has seen this year.

UT needs to keep hitting the "dink and dunk" stuff, run the ball, then take a few downfield shots to keep them honest.

Interesting that OU will have the 3rd consecutive base 3-4 D UT has faced to start this season. UGA will make it 4 in a row.

The ability of the offense to make first downs will be the key to the defense being competitive for four quarters. This is a game where a fast tempo offense can get your defense killed late. Hopefully we can consistently move the ball.

D will help keep it close early, but lack of running game will cause the D to stay on the field too long and eventually wear down. Midway through the 3rd quarter the game will get out of hand.

Look for Sutton to lock down one side.. They will target Coleman on the other and AJ in space. JRM/Bates will be key with route in the short flat.

Never, ever speak of that dreaded thing again.

Now, excuse me while I go exorcise these images of Sal on our sideline from my brain.

lol .. Gamecocks are going through the same deal right now.. It's hilarious when it is not your Team. :eek:lol:

Unfortunately, I think this is the most likely scenario. I do so hope you (and I) are wrong.

They will pound the rock. Our DL will have to play really well. They need to be successful on 1st and 2nd down to have a chance to get off the field.

Need to force the QB to win through the air to have a chance. JMO.

I agree. Interested to find out if we have the kind of speed I think we do. We'll be tested.

Coleman in coverage is and will probably remain a major concern for me. Especially whe going against quality opponents.

Impressed with AJ's improvement in coverage so far tho.

Offensive line has to get a push! If they can't get off the line of scrimmage and get to the LB's we can forget about it. I'm wondering if they will go to a Zone blocking scheme this week instead of trying to get a helmet on a helmet. We have the talent in the backfield for our RB's to make the correct read I believe. I hope we don't have to depend heavily on the quick screens Saturday night, it's only a matter of time until somebody jumps that route and takes one to the house on us.
