did anyone else notice that, at least I didn't ever notice, we never played any dime packages saturday..We seem to have 3 lbs on the field at all time..Gaither was having to cover wr all day londs..

Anybody no why..do we not have enough db

We have enough DB's to run dime packages. Suppose Fulmer would consider it if Florida is running 4 and 5 WR's at times? You know trying to cover them with 3 LB's in there is a recipe for disaster

Our defensive strategy was to contain Hackney in the pocket (keep him there) and let the dbs and lbs take care of pass coverage. LBs normally would cover TE or RBs on pass coverage in a man to man. I don't know what happened except that Fulmer said we ran some zone packages. Maybe that's what you saw.

Fulmer has said time and time again that Gaither is fast enough to line up and cover most receivers...When our linebackers are as fast and talented as they are and they are playing against receivers that aren't that fast or talented there really isn't any need for 4 or 5 DBs.

Ainge has also made comments on how well Gaither drops into coverage.

That is where he is supposed to benefit, by forcing LBs to commit to the WR or bite on his look. I think down the road it'll work and make some overzealous Lbs look pretty bad?

Yeah, that middle needs to tighten up before next week.
