I believe we had 4 sacks today. That was the best performance from a Tennessee defensive line that I can remember the past 5 years. Hats off to every single player on it.

The only real complaint was the long touchdown pass. The line decided the couldn't get to the qb and stopped trying. Other than that they were giving a Effort no matter how the play turned out. It is amazing how many good breaks we have had lately and it is because of effort.

The long td pass? Are you talking about the post route? Because he threw that in rythm. Pass rush wasn't the problem there.

Daniel Hood really surprised me today. Glad to see him have a good gm. Our defense played with all heart today. GO VOLS!

Got a Good 4 Man Pass Rush most of the day. I haven't seen that since Chief ran things

Lots of pressure. Crazy how we struggle to do that against some inferior opponents but did so sell today.

I am with you. He is not getting a lot of recognition but you just see him plugging it every down. He is a good story. Trouble before getting into UT and I am not aware of any issues since.

McCullers showed up big when needed. Hood has also been a pleasant surprise this year. Great play by the entire line on both sides.

Yep...safety bit down early on that play and it was over before it started.

CB's are getting better each week. Jeez! These guys are young! The future is bright

Yes. If you get a chance to watch the play again watch the line.

How much has our new s&c coach helped this defense? We seem to be getting quicker and stronger as the game goes on.

The entire D obviously had nowhere to go but up, but those that have bashed the hires of jancek and especially Martinez look foolish right now. We are undermanned and lack speed, but our dbs continue to be in the right spots and we lead the league in takeaways.
Lead. The. League.
Lesson should be to not write people off, especially when its based off of an uninformed or jaded opinion.
Still a way to go. Still some blown coverages and bad play calls, but its football and happens. Next week will be the first week this year that we aren't the more physical d on the field.
