Has the defensive line had a tackle yet in this game? The difference between us and Auburn is that our LB's can't stay in contain and lanes because our D line is getting bullied so we always step up in gaps.

Auburn's defensive line has made quite a few tackles in backfield and at the line of scrimmage. Our biggest problem defensively all stems from lack of talent, depth, and playmakers on the defensive line. It has a direct effect on the levels LB'ers, DB's, and safeties behind them.

In the end he is responsible but he does not coach the d-line, linebackers or safeties and they are the reason we are getting beat so badly. I would have to think if you fired them all that it would hurt recruiting and Jones will not risk that.

Well go write it on the rock. It's not totally his fault though our players are worst than his coaching. Daniel Hood is not a DT or Nose Guard. our DE's cant pass rush or keep contain.

Its BAD tackling in SPACE................the kids are there, but they are NOT making tackles, plus LBs and D-Line cant get off blocks............I mean they look like they hope to get blocked............because once contact is established, it looks like GLUE is holding them on the offensive players..........and NO one on defense has a NASTY attitude...they are a bunch of SOFT nice guys

Curt Maggitt and next years class should help this problem. We just need to cleanse this defense with a new wave of recruits....then we can move forward from the Kiffin/Dooley years. Hate making excuses but our D Line is god awful.

This seems to be the answer fans always come up with him. Pay someone money with someone else's money to hire someone else with someone else's money.

There is one problem that can't be fixed is speed. The only way to fix it is to recruit.

I guess Stripling doesn't know how to coach either? If you people can't see the speed difference, I don't know what to say. My littlest kid and wife can see it in 2 plays, but we still have idiots on here giving 40 times when discussing football speed.

Rewind your tvs and just watch the d line...0 penetration. They touch the O lineman and stand straight up...this is god awful.

I have given up trying to talk football on here. With some of the statements posted today I realized that they have no football IQ at all.

I love Malone but if we truly only have 1 spot left and everyone else stays...we have to get. DLineman. Yes I would still take Malone and someone would just get over recruited...but our D Line is a must get area.
