Just saw this one pop up.

I'm not sure I have even heard his name mentioned there, but supposedly they have offered him the gig.

If he goes to USF over Colorado he’s a fool

but I’d hold out to see if a better offer comes first, tbh

Not really.... He lives in South Florida part time and he has plenty of recruiting ties there in the state.... USF would by far be the easier job for him given the recruiting advantages he brings. Wouldn't have to recruit out of state..... Boulder would be an infinitely harder recruiting job.

So has South Florida. No decision yet

Ugh. That's what I was afraid of.

Hate this crap when multiple schools offer the same guy. Pretty embarrassing if you then get shot down.

Seems like lately ADs have smartened up and not extended an offer until it was certain it would be accepted. Guess that's not the case here.

He would be inheriting a 1-11 team at USF and would have to compete against UF, FSU, Miami, and UCF for recruits. I’d rather coach Vandy than there

Two words-legal weed.

If Colorado got their act together and cobbled a decent NIL group outta their boosters, they could be dangerous. Honestly, their stadium is an excellent place to watch a game

Which is why you need a guaranteed recruiter for a school like USF. Deion is that person. He would be able to recruit against any of those 3 schools just fine. Probably better than other coaches who have tried.

I thought he said he didn't want the bigger school because his heart was with the smaller places like where he is

He’d be smart to take the USF job, if he want a bigger one right now. Easier path to the FSU job in a few years. Just saying

I don’t think the commitment is there. I wouldn’t want to be there.

Commitment by who?

School admin? Deion? Others?

I mean realistically, the admin is the one who signs off on the hire. They know very well Deion is not exactly shy when it comes to press matters. He isn't getting the support he needs, they know he is gonna be talking.

I doubt it happens honestly, but maybe Colorado has finally gotten tired. They may be ready to put resources into the program again-at least for a few years.

School, fans, boosters, just the entire program.

Deion in "The People's Republic of Boulder" is a bit of a gamble, I think. Boulder is an undisciplined, do your own thing town and I'm not sure Deion is much of a discipline coach.

Interesting offer, though. CO thinking outside the box.

I'm not gonna argue that. Like I said though, the admin is signing off on this they know very well they are inviting the circus to town. They know they are gonna have to step it up.
.
Not like there is no money in Colorado. They could have a hell of an NIL program if they wanted.

They have a history. Well, up until about the year 2000. After that they kinda vanished.

"If" it happens ( I say 1 in 10 chance), it might be interesting.

A lot of people are missing what Coach Sanders is actually trying to do. He's promoting his QB son, Shadeur, for the Heisman. The youngster didn't get the offers his father thought he should have had coming out of high school. So Dad decided to coach him college. Coach Sanders is not going to take a job that can't promote what he's trying to get done for his son. Boulder ain't it. If Auburn had knocked on his door, he'd have jumped all over it.
