DeJa Vu all over gain Buzz and popcorn??

It's déjà vu all over again at TBA. Its Buzz ball and the tickets are cheap. I think the fans have made a statement about backing this coaching staff and players. If coaches are fired because of more than a half empty stadium then Bruce is in trouble not to mention the NCAA sanctions. Yes the weather has been bad last 2 home games, but when we came off 2 top 10 wins over Pitt & Nova the Tommy Bowl was still half empty. I think that says volumes where this fan base is with our coach, this staff and this team. Not since Buzz ball could I and Manvol Jr buy last row seats ($10) and virtually sit anywhere we want. It has been that way all year. There haven’t been enough people in the arena to yell "sit down I can't see!" To be honest with you for my wallet, and for Jr and I getting rowdy it's been a blast (except for the losing) reminds me of old times (especially the losing), but it does lead to these questions:

Are we tired of Bruce Pearl as fan base? Has the shine worn off?

Do more People think he should be fired than are letting on?

You think Tobias is thinking college in Syracuse would not have been bad?

Are we a fickle fan base and will not back our coaches and players during trying times? I mean this isn't pro basketball.

Will the likes of ESPN and other media types ever let us forget about his lies? I think not. This will be brought up until the day he retires.

Are you just over it and we need a fresh start?

I don't have any of the answers but somehow I think if there is 9 to 10 thousand plus empty seats people are past caring. In my opinion the shine has rubbed off of Pearl and the glam and corporate "fans" are not showing up any longer this does leave room for the common fan to come back if they choose too. There are really, really cheap tickets available and you can sit almost where ever if you like to watch Vols basketball. Manvol Jr is glad he got his corporate seats back. I do hope in 2 years this will be behind us all and basketball related things will be back on track.....GO VOLS!!

Until they bust out the curtain we're still okay. Attendance/crowd participation has left alot to be desired but I supposed it's understandable considering the circumstances and how many bandwagoners we took on. At least the announced attendance still looks good. The crowd last night wasn't bad considering the weather, now the Memphis attendance was pretty poor. Vandy should be interesting, no reason for people not to come out for that one.

This post illustrates that you are perhaps the worst fan in the country. Shut your mouth if you're not going to support Tennessee. Nothing you posted is constructive and I submit, a gigantic waste of time.
We were in the Elite 8 last year cry baby. I'm optimistic that we will go back again at some point under Bruce Pearl. Coach has done wonders for this basketball program and you have contributed nothing but negativity. I'm glad you're not a recruiting coordinator. In terms of Tennessee weather, it's a gigantic snowstorm. Be pragmatic. Schools everywhere in my area are closed and neighborhoods are iced in. Hence the possibility of people not making it to the game.

Tobia Harris is a big boy and I'm sure he is happy with his decision to come to Knoxville. It's called adversity, real men work through it.

I'd also say the support for Bruce from your majority fan type that attends games is high as last night during lineups when they announced Tony Jones as head coach people still did the "Bruce" chant.

Bad weather aside, if we lose Bruce then last nights attendance was huge.

your always gonna have some idoit say things on here to get everyone in an up roar!!!with that being said,,, i think pearl has done an awesome job with this program and has it headed in the right direction!!!!teams are going to have ups and downs but UT will come out of this with alot of lessons being learnt!i love seeing orange and white in the post season tournys and think bruce will keep doing just that!!!as far as these last couple games, these star players are gonna have to find the chemistry and aggressiveness that they lack!!i have seen it on occasions this year but they are not consistant enough to be a top 10 team!!!THEY WILL THOUGH'because we are UT

hey the official attendance last night was said to be around 19,000 thats good for the snowy conditions

Have you been to any of the games? I don't know where you live but I have almost all of them. What part of me asking the Volnation why are "they" not going to the games is constructive? Why should I shut my mouth because you maybe afraid of the answer that some are just over this situtation? I am curious to know because I have been going supporting Pearl all season. There seems to be alot of fans including yourself who say they are going to support Bruce through thick and thin yet there are no butts in the seats. If you would slow down and let the air go to your brain for a half a second you'll notice I was telling the Vol Nation that cheap tickets are availble how is that not being positive? How is telling the VolNation that it seems the Corp/Glam fans have jumped ship and there is room back in Tommy Bowl?...Go back reread slowly and you'll know where I'm coming from ...GO VOLS beat Vandy!!
Oh and you didn't see where I started a thread about who the next coach should be so go attend a game or jump off..

That is tickets sold not who attended. When the top rim has only couple hundred in it as it has been almost all year there is less than 12 k fans in the house. That is what I was saying if some missed it there are cheap seats for the common fan to come back and watch the vols. The glam/corp. fans have jumped ship...

No when Buzz Peterson was fired his buddy from NC, Roy Williams said "he should not have been fired because he wasn't selling enough dag gum popcorn". That is why my thread was titled as such. If Pearl has all this support why has TBA been half empty? I was curious to know why no one was going to the games. Why my son and I are able to get cheap seats and sit where ever we like if Pearl has all of this supprt why?

I'll agree those who are attending are still supporting BP and I am not saying all who don't show up are not supporting the basketball program. That was why I was asking the question why?
1. I was asking why are the fans not going?
2. Informing the common fans that tickets are cheap come on back the want to be seen fans have jumped ship..
