Is this Georgia's year ... history says "maybe". That last time Georgia won a national championship was in 1980 against Norte Dame. Georgia had "Herschal" back then and now they have "Gerchal". Is it the "Dwags" year ... I'm guessing it is.

It could happen, but has a team ever won the NC after getting losing a game like Georgia did against South Carolina? I know many NC winners have lost a game, but has any in recent history had their loss be THAT bad?

Didn't 2001 Nebraska lose their final game by 26? That was pretty bad.

And Notre Dame is 2002 Ohio State reincarnated, so who knows.

Yes but Nebraska was destroyed by Miami in that NC game. I mean has any team won the NC who lost in a blowout during the regular season?

Nebraska is the only team I can think of that made the NC game and got blown out during the season.

I think people are idiots for pre-writing Bama in the national championship game. Georgia is playing good ball. Though I wouldn't want to go into a big game with Aaron Murray as my QB.

Very good observation. Unfortunately, you are dead on. This is my biggest concern. Saban will try to confuse him the entire game.
