I am not sure whether or not to be surprised, or surprised that it took this long.

ESPN - Sources: Conflict bubbling between Terrell Owens, Tony Romo

As the preseason Super Bowl favorites struggle in the final month of the season to simply make the playoffs, wide receiver Terrell Owens has expressed resentment toward Tony Romo, apparently jealous of the quarterback's relationship with tight end Jason Witten.

Owens thinks Romo and Witten -- close friends and road roommates who came to Dallas in the same offseason -- hold private meetings and create plays without including Owens, according to a source who speaks regularly with Owens' teammates. Owens believes these discussions have worked to his detriment and Romo seeks to deliver the ball to Witten regardless of whether Owens is open

Owens declined to discuss the situation on Thursday outside the Cowboys' locker room. As he walked toward the players' lounge at Valley Ranch, ESPN asked Owens if he would answer questions and he said, "Nope.''

But later Thursday, Owens told The Dallas Morning News: "I'm not jealous of Witten. I'm not jealous of nobody. I can take the approach that I got paid, so screw everything, but that's not me.

"I just want to win. I'm not trying to create a war of words with anybody. I thought we had a productive meeting, and I just talked to Jason about Tony reading the whole play because other people are open besides Witten."

On the sideline, Owens was seen yelling at a Cowboys assistant coach. In his news conference after the game, Owens implied that Romo's decision to throw to Witten was the wrong one, saying, "It's his job to go out there and assess what the defense is, and he made that decision.''

That incensed some Cowboys, one of whom said, "If you only knew all that guy does. It's gonna go down with him before it's all over with. He is unbelievable. Tough loss and he does that?''

1st class D bag seems to be with the correct organization now.

i hope TO and Jerry celebrate Christmas together.

couldn't happen to a better bunch of folks as far as i'm concerned.

The chemistry of this team seems to be imploding, not surprising at all. As long as the team is winning T.O. will usually be content enough to keep his mouth shut. Let the team fall on hard times and he feels the need to make the problem worse by stirring the pot.

i like t.o. when he doesn't pull this crap. this makes me shake my head and wonder why i'm a fan of his. i guess bc when he's not pulling this junk, he's makin plays and he is cocky. i like that in a player

he will never win a championship. his individualistic nature is detrimental to the "team" function that all great football teams have had.

signing him to your roster is basically guranteeing you won't win a darn thing while he's there.

T.O. is definitely THE drama queen and Jerry Jones is running down the same path Al Davis took many years earlier...

TO is bi-polar. he can't help it.

only thing he's guilty of is not getting help for his condition.

Dallas has to be the biggest joke of a team. Why would Jerry Jones take in so many shady characters?

Interesting that the defensive guys have taken T.O.'s side.

I personally don't mind T.O.'s antics that much. Nearly every modern, elite WR has that me-first attitude. And nearly every sports team I've played on had guys like him. His heart or effort has never been questioned, which is kind of refreshing when we have others that get free passes for taking plays and games off or missing practices. Romo's field judgement should be much more of an issue for Cowboys fans than this.

Gotta love a guy who whines about not getting the ball and then drops a perfect pass thrown to him.

TO is a cancer to any team he plays on. Is this a surprise to anyone?

exactly. did you hear the crowd booing? hilarious.

and i loved the stats they showed about TO and Witten......as far as "thrown to" stats.......

TO 117 attempts 57 catches.......48%. man that's awesome. now i know not all are his fault, but as he showed last night, he has the propensity to drop some easy ones. he's done it all his career.

i forget Witten's numbers, but the thrown to number was considerably less than TO's, yet he has more catches.........

hm.............

It was an out route off his fingers with his arms extended.
ok........but someone that is as self proclaimed "great" as TO is.....if the ball hits your hands.......you're supposed to catch it superstar.

you can't bitch about not getting the ball thrown to you, then have a ball hit your hands and fail to haul it in.

TO lost the right to talk about good or bad throws or his effort level. his antics have eiliminated any defense of the man.

lesser receivers will make that catch.
