As some of you all know I am no way a supporter of the gop but I was looking over the number of delegates for the upcoming primaries and was wondering how they come up with each states number of alotted delegates. I noticed where Georgia awards 76 delegates yet Michigan and Arizona both award less than 30 and Michigan has slightly more people than Georgia maybe one of you all have the answer? (Before some a$$ tells me google is my friend I did not feel like reading through some drivel when one of you all could give me the answer in laymans terms.)

You could skip google if you wanted...

... and use bing instead! :p

I don't have the answer to your question myself. I have never cared enough about that process to dig into it. I do know that Florida got its number cut because they held their primary out of turn. So I think more than population goes into it.

The answer is... I have no idea.

I've heard the whole thing explained before, and it basically seems like there's no rhyme or reason to the process whatsoever.

Several states have been penalized for holding primaries too early. I think it's so many delegates per district, then a few for each Senator and then a few that are unbound by the outcome of the primary/caucus. Then there's also something about states with GOP majorities getting a few more delegates. So in other words . . . . I have no idea.

It's sort of like the electoral college, but the college they went to is the University of Phoenix.

Hey OE I always check the volnation pol board but I'm not like Lawgator(I refuse to take the torture) I come to realize that the VOLNATION po board is nothing more than gop circle jerk board outside of gsvol rediculousness which you all call him out on and there is no way to change my mind and for the love of god I can't change yours I was just interseted on how GA. can have that many delegates cause I know you need so many to get the nom. it just seems they are way to powerful in the nom process.
