The most delusional fans in the world right now have to be the barners. Their team is falling apart. After we lost to Auburn, people said "As soon as the SEC figures out Gus M, they will not be able to use those tricks to run the ball on anyone." Defenses took away the short pass from their QB and they are now celebrating a touchdown with 3 seconds left down 30 plus to LSU because they do not want to only score 3 in a ballgame.

Auburn may only beat Furman the rest of the year.
Their fans say that Trovon Reed and Lache Seastrunk are locks, but they also say that they are getting Dyer at RB.
Trooper's towels may be magical, but they have as much chance of signing Seastrunk and Dyer as TN has of signing Scroggins and Phillip Sims.

Florida fans who are realistic expect a top 5 class with some potential decommits but a good deal of talent coming far east to play for them as well as plenty of in state talent as always. Florida fans who are delusional believe that rumors of Strong leaving are not true, that he is staying around forever and that having a spread offense recruiting against Kiffin and his pro style will not be a long term liability. They also thinking that not having someone to play the Tebow position is not going to hurt them next year.

Gamecock fans who are delusional are saying that they get Sharif Floyd to join Quarles, Lattimore as RB, Keenan Allen as Safety to go in the secondary with Fulton etc. They also believe they are going to shut TN down offensively on Saturday....We are not NC State...

Alabama fans who are delusional believe the bear is coming back by the way they worship him but the guys on this site seem pretty lucid.

It is hard for a Bama fan to be delusional in terms of recruiting because they get so many of the studs they go after and talk about.

I believe TN has the best recruiting staff in the country. If I had been on other teams sites saying we pull the Byrnes boys I would have been laughed at. Bryce Brown, Oku, Janzen Jackson, Richardson and Teague are all viewed as flukes by some.

I believe when this class it is over it will be #1 and from here on out when TN dreams about a player, other fans will be quiet unless they know the kid is solid to another school because this staff will seem like miracle workers who are never out of it, even if a kid is committed somewhere else.

Who do you view as the most delusional fans in the country in recruiting? In the SEC? Who seems most realistic?

It's funny that you didn't talk about the delusional UT fans who think we'll have the #1 class this year(not mentioning any names). I would take top 5. Also, ALL Bama fans think Bear is coming back, not just the delusional ones.

I want to know why you start about 5 threads a day that take up half the page...can you not put your thoughts into about 7-8 sentences?

I believe in the future of agriculture, with a faith born not of words but of deeds -
achievements won by the present and past generations of agriculturists; in the promise of better days through better ways, even as the better things we now enjoy have come to us from the struggles of former years.

Just a little joke guys. A blue star goes to whoever can figure out where that's from. BTW, Alabama fans think they're world beaters every year so, I vote them to be the most delusional.

I started two today that were unrelated. I could start threads about local guys and try to get UT interested in them.

Some people find typing to be a relatively easy skill and putting their thoughts on the internet takes them moments.

I think USC jr fans may be the most delusional. I mean every year they always talk crap and every year they fail. I could see talking crap if you could back it up, but these guys seem to be a 4 or 5 loss team every year and hearing from there fans you would think they are competing for national championships.

All sports fans are delusional about their teams. Complete objectivity is impossible if you are a true fan. Games are a multi-variable experiment that, in hindsight, are easy to spin positive what-ifs for your team. You could dissect every single play and say "if only..." Objectivity does become easier with practice - sadly it is commonly called aging.

The saddest recent example of a delusional fan base was Auburn during their fast start this year. Even before the collapse - you knew either SEC defensive coaches would figure out the Malzahn new fangled run-and-shoot or he gets a HC gig and moves on. Then what are they left with? What has Chizik shown? Their recruiting is well below the SEC big 5 - more on par with South Carolina. And Auburn fans were dancing in the streets the first month, and the stupid sportswriters were feeding them columns about how it was now etched in stone that Chizik was the best offseason hire in the SEC.
