With Allen, Hefney, Fellows, Stewart, Campbell and Wade, I doubt that he will see much playing time. However, there might some defensive packages where D-Mo will get some quality time. If he impresses the coaches enough, he might steal a spot.....you never know.

We'll see him, just maybe not that much. But who knows?

Myself really hope Wade is better adjusted to the D-back side of the game.
He got picked on alot last yr. It wasnt because of his speed or size.

There should be some really good talent fighting for that Safety position.

I say he will see some action in the Nickle package.

I could see him getting more playing time against Vandy and Kentucky, if we don't let them hang around this season.

Milo you need to let the Vandy and Kent games go bud, yes we stunk it up on D against those 2 but it was probably more of them taking a breather in preparation for Au (looking ahead) than anything else. Besides those 2 always bring thier top shelf game when they play us because by that time of the yr things have usually gone so bad up until that point that they literally have nothing else to loose

I have let it go. Yeah, they nearly gave me a heart attack.

My point was DMo should get a lot of playing time against any teams we should be leaving in the dust (Vandy, Kentucky, maybe UAB and Memphis).

he is suppose to be a shutdown corner from what read!! I read he shut down patrick turner in practice at the army game. Thats a big statement if true!

I think he can and will start. He is a dominating player and has the speed to make up for any mistake he may make.

D-MO might have the "IT" factor. Like Fulmer said Ainge and Schaeffer had as freshmen. Being a top prospect out of the state of FLA. he should have the talent.

Exactly. ANd being the best player in Florida means something. If you are the best in Florida, you can say your the best in the country.

No such thing against a good offensive team, IMO. With the guys we have returning, he should have some time to mature and avoid getting out there too soon and getting burned for a momentum-shifter.

well I think I am the only person on here to actually witness this young man play and I can say from a personal statement that he is the stuff. I mean he just has that closing speed that you look for. He can wrap up very well so I mean that is a plus. something we have been lacking at times. I am just saying the Morley is proably already more talented then almost everyone in our secondary except Allen.

2345, I hope you're right. This may be an exaggeration, but I don't think we've really had any difference makers in the secondary since Deon Grant.

After last year though, a lot of people just don't have the stomach for another inexperience defensive back. :twocents:

I think it goes back to Chavis' coaching... He might be going about it NFL-style. I was watching NFL Films on On Demand Cable the other day, and they were talking how the whole league experienced a surge in offense last season, but not because team's offenses were actually getting better. It's because defense was getting worse. Apparantley the coaches of today's game are so worried about injuring their players, they only do non-tackling practices during the season. It may keep your guys healthy, but they also get no practice tackling.

Either way, I felt that our team showed very poor fundamentals on defense for about 11 of the 13 games we played last season. Step it up, Chavis. Get your boys workin'.
