Because Pat is sick everyone on her staff can't better their careers?

There are a number of ways this can be taken. 1a. Mickie was informed she won't be in the running to replace Pat. 1b.The staff was informed Holly would neither be selected so therefore she didnt want to work for anyone else. 2.Just expanding her horizons which is what you are alluding to. 3. Family concerns we don't know about. 4. She sees a decline in program and wants to win a title in WNBA with Tamika Catchings.

Good article. It's nice to read that even though she was offered the job months ago, she told them that she wanted to stay and help Pat the rest of the season. She's coached some of the best and they all give her a lot of credit for their success in the WNBA. I met her once....friendly and very funny.

I'm I wrong in thinking that women's college ball is bigger than the WNBA?

IMO DeMoss left either because PS is done--or because she does not want to play second fiddle to Warlick. She has more experience than Warlick--DeMoss has been a head coach at an SEC school--and it must have chafed to play a subordinate role. I respect all Warlick has done for the program, but I hope they do not hire her as coach. Doing that will not give the program the energy/fresh blood that it DESPERATELY needs.

DeMoss was head coach at both Fla and Ky.

The transition begins.

well at least women's basketball will finally be in it's proper place behind men's

That's not a good thing. This is the most storied womens basketball prorgam on the face of this earth, and Pats replacement should reflect that. Holly hasn't been, nor will she ever be good enough to coach this team. Period.

Agreed. It was just an opinion. Would the 07 and 08 recruits be DeMoss's?

She left Tennessee before the 2002-03 season, so no.

The 2008 senior class (plus Parker, a redshirt JR) entered UT in fall 04, so she may have had some contact with them when they were high school sophomores, but the lead recruiters on that "Six Pack" were Caldwell and Warlick.

that's a terrible opinion,if it wasn't for CPS there would be no banners hanging in TBA,they probably wouldn't have built it,why else build it? for the mens program ?

And if Holly takes over, all that gets "unbuilt". If they settle with her, im done watching and supporting them.

Hyams was on Nashville radio this morning. He reported that DeMoss was not getting along with a member of the coaching staff. Coach's name was not mentioned.
