Why do u say that? Not being a jerk but how do you know?

Think he's prolly making a judgment based on his size. 6'4" 268 in HS winds up a lot bigger than our 4-3 DE's have ever been (most now are in the 240 range and Jackson is anywhere from 230 to 390..lol). 3-4 DE's are typically in this cat's size range.

another 3-4 DE......perfect :hi:

If you're into star gazing, go check out Alabama Rivals. I don't think I can handle another 9-10 losing streak against the tide, but they are looking really healthy right now and for the foreseeable future. Although Florida gets under my skin, my hate will always be directed at Bama.

Think jspvol might've not seen it clearly, not sure. But it's 5.45, not 4.45. Slow as mud for a DL at 250-260, imo. Hard to believe that's correct - hope not, if we're on him.

But I trust the coaches who have real info and not just a scout page...

3-4 is a defensive system, he wasn't talking about stars. Try reading b4 you smart off.

It's a verified 4.44 shuttle. It's also on the US Army 2010 combine page.

Here are some 20 yard shuttle times for DL from the most recent draft... bear in mind they're 3-5 years older and have probably been training for these events far more than a 17 year old in High School. Also, 3-4 DEs are quite a bit different from a 4-3 DE.

different techniques.
5 tech DEs and 4 tech DEs are different and have diff responisibilities.

u would expect Strong side DEs to be more stout and able to handle 2 gap responsibilities as well as being able to take on a OT/TE dble team.

for example Leonard Marshall & George Martin (NY Giants ) played DE in the same 3-4, Martin was the Strong side DE opposite L. Taylor & Marshall . he was very good but was more of a plug guy who didnt penetrate like Marshall

very subtle differences but there are indeed differences
