I don't think it's just the media, certain politicians have invested a lot of capital in slandering the media and it has worked on people. If someone takes Elon's tweets as absolute truth, I'm more likely to assume that that person has willingly swallowed a lot of tribal propaganda than to think that the media let them down

I mean both can be true, no?

Elon can be saying wild, crazy stuff. Politicians have gone after Media.
