Depth chart for OK game

It also lists Alex Ellis as the backup TE even though Downs has seen much more playing time this season. I wouldn't read too much into this.

Looks good. I would LOVE for Malone to step up and Worley hit him on a deep route. I think it will be a lot closer than people are saying, and if the breaks come our way in the 4th quarter, we could pull the upset! GO VOLS!

Seriously. Can't make heads nor tails of our depth charts thus far. Case in point is McNeil starting day 1 after supposedly being buried all spring and summer. Anywho, we know tons of young uns are gonna play, including Ellis, who I've heard had a really good camp.....sure as hell saved us last week with the onside kick recovery.

Hear me out. Iv'e seen alot of posts stating that Jalen Hurd is RB1. While I am not knocking his abilities and think that he is a great RB is it Possible Butch didn't let Lane out of the stable yet or let OU have a decent look at what they may get a steady dose of Saturday. Lane is listed as RB1 saturday. Food for thought.

I think Lane has been listed as RB1 the first 2 games as well.

Hurd needed experience. It is quite likely that we see a lot of Lane against OU. Both will play, and whomever is hot will play more.

I would. Ellis passes the eye ball test with flying colors and has pretty good hands. He also made some key blocks in the open scrimmage.

Bullock will be kicking the FG's. Not sure if he was listed as #1 for the first two games but having Medley at #2 is good for now

I have a feeling were going to see this any several new things come Sat. I would have played the first two close to the vest and then unleash every new wrinkle to try and make a statement against OU.

It actually lists Ellis or Helm as the back up. Downs played ahead of, and more than, both of them in the Arkansas State game. So, not sure what the purpose of the depth chart is.

My Bad. Should have done my research. I just feel like Lane has been out of the mix and I feel like it was for a reason other than him playing badly or not as good as hurd. I think Butch has been holding off a bit in the run department.

He may have done great in the scrimmage, but based on who has played in the games and who hasn't there is no way he is ahead of Downs or Helm.

Regardless, my point was that this depth chart isn't perfect. Just because Wolf is listed doesn't necessarily mean he'll play.

I was thinking along these same lines. I have a feeling the Nation will be talking about our Offense Sunday Morning. Even if we don't pull it off, which I think it is possible we do, We will put a ton of teams on high alert with our Offense.

Google the " Magic Three " Formation. Patriots scorched alot of teams with this set.

Maybe the depth chart is to impress recruits, to mislead opponents or to allow CBJ to point out how many freshmen are playing. It's not to inform fans or the media.

No worries. Depth chart has not been reliable to this point and Hurd has definitely logged more snaps. Here's to hoping they start becoming a 2-headed beast sooner than later. This weekend would be a good time to start.

Josh Smith is listed as a starter. After his performance last week it's understandable. I just hope he keeps his new pair of hands he grew this year. I really like his athleticism.

I hear ya but McNeil has been solid in games so far...so has Coleman (minus one play).

I'm seeing TK2 in a lot more too.

What surprises me is that I haven't seen much on Bryant and Bynum. Have they even played yet? RS candidates perhaps.

Bynum has played in both games but Bryant has not played yet so he may redshirt.

Correct me if im wrong but has Evan Berry been back on kick returns? All I have seen is Devrin Young. I have never been a fan of Young returning kicks for the most part. Isnt Evan the track star?
