www.utsports.com | Official Web Site of The University of Tennessee Men's Athletic Department published the depth chart vs Cal.

Here are the listed starters:

Offense

TE-Chris Brown or Brad Cottam
OT-Aarron Sears
Chris Scott
OG-David Ligon
Ramone Foster
C-Michael Frogg
Josh McNeil
OG-Anthony Parker
Jacques McClendon
OT-Eric Young
Steven Jones

WR-Jayson Swain
Josh Briscoe
WR-Robert Meachum
Lucas Taylor
WR-Brett Smith
Austin Rodgers

QB-Eric Ainge
Jonathon Crompton
RB-Arian Foster
Montario Hardesty
LaMarcus Coker
FB-Corey Anderson
David Holbert

Looks like #4 WR is Brisco, #5 WR is Taylor, and #6 WR is Rodgers. Coker is playing behind Hardesty and Foster. The depth on the offensive line doesnt seem as bad as first thought.

Defense:

DE-Turk McBride
Xavier Mitchell
DT-Justin Harrell
Dan Williams
Demonte Bolden
DT-Matt McGothlin
J.T. Mapu
DE-Antonio Reynolds
Michael Ayers

LB-Ryan Karl
Ellix Wilson
Adam Myers-White
LB-Marvin Mitchell
Ellix Wilson
LB-Jerod Mayo
Rico McCoy

CB- Jonathon Wade
Antonio Gaines
CB-Inquoris Johnson
Ricardo Kemp
FS-Jonathon Hefney
Antoine Wardlow
SS- Antwan Stewart
Demetrice Morley

Disappointed Morley,McCoy, and Mapu are not starting.

I imagine he is red-shirting.
Not according to what Fulmer has said. He listed Hancock in with the seven or so guys that would play as freshman. Anything can change though so we'll see how it turns out.

I noticed the depth chart yesterday as well. I noticed the Krieg guy from Duke isn't listed in the two deep for Cal as well.

Thats surprising Hancock isn't listed anywhere. He's not even listed as a 3rd team WR.

So is Demonte Bolden playing 3rd team DT behind Dan Williams.

Forgot to add:
Hefney punt returner

Taylor and Morley kick returners

Bolden is surprising.

It's funny too becuase I thought for sure Rogers was going to return punts. Fulmer mentioned Heffney to doing too much and spreading himself too thin.

Man we need Morley to return punts. Get him some practice kid has the speed and the most agility ive seen in a while. But i think Heffney can take it to the house. Id love to see a runback kickoff or punt that we score off of instead of getting scored on.

suprised about Hancock myself...he apparently has really impressed....
suprised too about Bolden...word wasn't too good on him early on..he must have really come on lately. and that's a good thing if he's anywhere near the hype.

I would'nt worry, some guys I think that have a butt load of talent, they like to get the lay of the land and settle in before bringing their A game.

yeah, i just hate to hear about a guy with talent and never see it...reminds me of J. Lewis in 97....heard about him....didn't see him until AFTER the uf game against Ole Miss...and i was like...why in the world didn't he see the feild LAST WEEK!!!!

I followed Bolden while he was at Tyner in Chatt. and many people thought (down here) that it was his size that made him dominate not his skill. It is good to see him doing well in Knoxville.

Has Brown had a bad preseason or has Cottam just had a great preseason. I bet we see changes in the starters week to week because of the healthy competition more than we have seen in the past.

Well, I dont think you had the back-up WR order down correct. I would say Swain is the last starting WR to come out, so that makes Briscoe the #6 WR. I think with Rogers and Taylor it is a toss-up as far as who gets in next. Hancock is not listed on here, but that does not mean he will not play. Remember it is the 1st game of his TRUE FRESHMAN year.

Hefney will be the "starting punt returner" but that does not mean he will return every punt the entire game. After he gets a lot of snaps in the game I think Rogers will start fielding the punts in the 3rd and 4th quarters.

Mapu is the first DL to sub in and then it is still a toss-up between Williams and Bolden. I think that is why it is listed like it is.
