Premise:

DEPUTY From writer/executive producer Will Beall (Aquaman, Gangster Squad) and director/executive producer David Ayer (Training Day, End of Watch), DEPUTY brings the spirit of a classic Western and a gritty authenticity to the modern cop drama. When the Los Angeles County’s Sheriff dies, an arcane rule forged back in the Wild West thrusts the most unlikely man into the job: a fifth-generation lawman. Starring Stephen Dorff, (True Detective), more comfortable taking down bad guys than navigating a sea of politics, who won’t rest until justice is served. Also stars Yara Martinez (Jane the Virgin, True Detective), Brian Van Holt (Cougar Town), Siena Goines (Criminal Minds, Andi Mack), Bex Taylor-Klaus (Grimm, Arrow), Shane Paul McGhie (What Men Want) and Mark Moses (Mad Men).

Funny I thought after that scene in the trailer it should have been called "Lawman".

Just started watching the news show on Fox thru Hulu today....Loving it so far! It's got that Justified/Longmire feel to it...

Marathoned the first four episodes last night and it's a fantastic show.

I'll have to check the ratings but usually shows like this don't do to well outside CBS and particularly on Fox.

Wow, I mostly enjoyed the first 3 or 4 episodes and was waiting to catch up on Hulu. I guess I can delete it from my Hulu list now.

And I still thing the name should have been Lawman.
