Derek Anderson Post Game Meltdown

This comes up almost everytime you see a player on the sidelines smiling and laughing when their team is down big during a game. It does give the appearance that the player doesn't care, but thats usually not the case. It doesn't look good though.

Anderson answered the question. The reporter just was wanting something that was frankly none of his business.

I think it was a fair question. Anderson overreacted.

Could've just said, "I'm not going to go into specifics on a private conversation, but you're right, I was smiling...that said, he and I were 100% focused on the game, and I don't think there's anything wrong with a bit of levity in football...it's a game and as a leader on this team, I try to make sure we're having fun and enjoying each and every one of these we're privileged enough to play in ...but again, there's obviously nothing funny about losing and I hope it wasn't interpreted that way. Next question..."

It'd be different if Anderson didn't suck as a QB.

 Correct. If you're really good, then you can make an a$$ out of yourself and all will be forgiven. When you're absolutely atrocious, like Derek Anderson, you would be far wiser to treat the press with kid gloves.

How often do the really good qb's do stuff like this?

Manning, Brady, Brees, Rivers don't throw tantrums with the press.

Let's go through and count the number of times a player on a losing team smiles. Good lord.
