Interesting. The Football Writers Association of America, in conjunction with the Allstate Sugar Bowl, announced eight finalists for the 2017 Eddie Robinson Coach of the Year Award during a National Football Foundation news conference at the New York Hilton Midtown.

I would vote Bill Clark. What he did at UAB after Bryant snuffed out that program for 2 years is beyond stellar. And he hung in there during their 2 year absence instead of bailing out to another program.
