DeShaun Watson told to leave Tuscaloosa bar

I don't know why he would be there, and if were him I doubt I would've gone there. He seems like a good guy and doesn't have any history of doing dumb stuff, but going to a bar in Tuscaloosa probably wasn't his best decision. That and a sleeveless hoody camo sweatshirt.

I was told to leave a bar in Birmingham after we beat Bama to a pulp in 95. I was drunk and happy. No surprise Watson wasn't welcome.

Cue Bamawriter or Tusktimes to justify the sound business decision.

Apparently it wasn't just Alabama fans telling Watson to leave. Supposedly, it was Ryan Anderson and Wallace Gilberry, former Alabama players.

Statement from the bar. Makes the fans look good.

yeah, what was he doing there ? NFL GMs should think hard about that --- seems like something Vince Young would do

Now why would an NFL GM give a crap whether he went to a bar in Tuscaloosa or not? He might have been there to cause an issue. Or maybe he was just there to have a good time. Maybe he had friends down there

Do what? The guy can't go get a drink with his buds without being confronted and threatened? Still a free country, no?

Also, Watson has shown no signs of being remotely like Young who was a complete head case.

When/if Watson starts spending $6000 a week at Cheesecake Factory, throws his shoulder pads into the stands after a game, cusses out his head coach in front of his team, and leads authorities on a wild goose chase while threatening to kill himself, then you can get back to us on the Young comparison.

Until then however, Watson is still free to visit a public establishment with his boys and Vince Young is still the owner of his own unique brand of stupid.

The ultimate redneck behavior in the ultimate redneck state, if true. It seems almost too stupid and absurd to be true--but it is alabamy! I'm not sure why Watson would give a damn what some blockhead bama guy in a bar said to him. He should have stayed. That said, Watson looks like redneck white guy himself in that ridiculous camo sleaveless hoody--and with the hood over his head it is even more lame looking. But then he's been at Clemson for four years. The redneck quotient in both South Carolina and alabama is off the charts.

I got stopped by a copper in Tuscaloosa after leaving a bar in 1999, the night before the Vols played the Tide. He claimed I made a left turn on a red light--it was definitely yellow. The next day, as I'm walking in the Bryant-Denny stadium, I ran into the same police officer. I made my case about the ticket, we laughed about it--and I never got the ticket/fine in the mail. That, and the fact that we kicked their ass that afternoon, are the only good things I can say about alabama.

Watson used good judgement by quietly leaving and not escalating the situation with those Bammer mouth breathers. That's what NFL scouts should take away from it.

If the United States were a human body that needed a colonoscopy. Alabama would be the part that they inserted the tube.
