Dez Bryant ruled ineligible

Dez Bryant has been ruled ineligible for a violation of NCAA bylaw 10.1(d).

Oklahoma State University has already begun the process of applying to the NCAA on his behalf for reinstatement.

This incident does not involve anyone associated with the OSU football or athletic department staffs, any employee of the university, alumni, donors, or any third-party affiliated with OSU.

OSU is taking this step because Bryant failed to openly disclose to the NCAA the full details of his interaction with a former NFL player not affiliated with OSU.

The University issued the following statement from Bryant: "I made a mistake by not being entirely truthful when meeting with the NCAA. I sincerely regret my mistake and apologize to my teammates, coaches, OSU fans and the NCAA."

OSU coach Mike Gundy said: "We are certainly disappointed, but we are moving forward as we would with any challenge during the season."

Due to the ongoing investigation of this matter, OSU has no additional comment at this time.

And here is the pertinent wording for NCAA Bylaw 10.1:

"Unethical conduct by a prospective or enrolled student-athlete or a current or former institutional staff member (e.g., coach, professor, tutor, teaching assistant, student manager, student trainer) may include, but is not limited to, the following:

(d) Knowingly furnishing the NCAA or the individual's institution false or misleading information concerning the individual's involvement in or knowledge of matters relevant to a possible violation of an NCAA regulation;"

That’s why I cant believe what Dez says! Because it’s garbage! And the person that introduced him to that NFL player, is garbage! Trying to obtain NFL connections after he’s told us he’s just trying to help us win the Big12 South! And then the NCAA wants to rule he cant play and downgrade him, after he’s one of the few that does make plays.

Are you kidding me? Where are we at in society today? Come after me! I’m a man! I’m 42! I’m not a kid! Write something about me! Or the 2nd string guys. Don’t write about a kid that does everything right (sorta), that’s heart is broken because he got caught, and then say the players are not trying to be honest! That ain’t right!

So get your facts straight! And I hope someday you have a child that plays for Okie Lite, and somebody downgrades them and calls them out for some shady business and you have to look them in the eye and say, “You know what? It’s OK. You just cant play this week. They are supposed to be mature adults but they’re really not.” Who’s the kid here? Who’s the kid here? Are you kidding me? That’s all I’ve got to say. It makes me want to puke!

I think Deion Sanders is involved from what I've found. Regardless, there is trouble in Stillwater.

Well, it's obvious that the only reason that OSU is having problems is because Trooper Taylor isn't there anymore to keep things smooth.

That's at least what Hat iterated.

Hat has made it very clear to me, prior to this incident, how he feels about OSU. I believe the term he used was "Stoolwater".

That was evident prior. The only people that can beat t.u. is themselves, and possibly a team in Florida.
