Dick to start at QB for Arkansas

A new starting quarterback isnt the only change Arkansas will make for its visit from Tennessee on Saturday night.
Casey Dick gets the start at quarterback over freshman Mitch Mustain, coach Houston Nutt said Sunday, but another personnel move was dictated by a season-ending injury.
The Razorbacks lost starting free safety Michael Grant to a torn knee ligament in a 26-20 win at South Carolina.
"I hate to see us lose Michael Grant, Nutt said. "He was playing such good football.
"We havent given up the long ball with him there. Michael Grant has allowed no touchdown pa$$es, no bombs, and hes chased everybody down, (and made) three interceptions in Little Rock (against Louisiana-Monroe).
"And on the kickoff teams he was so valuable. Thats a 10.4 100-meters guy. We are going to miss him.
Junior Kevin Woods likely replaces Grant. Elston Forte is another option.
The Razorbacks have some other lesser injuries of concern.
Offensive guard Stephen Parker has a swollen, sprained knee.
"Boy, we need his presence, said Nutt. "Hes a tough guy. Im sure hell be back.
Star tailback Darren McFadden tweaked his foot when he was involved in a horse-collar-type tackle at South Carolina, a game in which he rushed for a career-high 219 yards.
"He kind of got his foot caught up when he (the defender) pulled him back, Nutt said. "His toe is real sore. But hes a tough guy, the toughest guy Ive ever met.
From The Showers: The Razorbacks are coming off back-to-back losing seasons and seemed headed down the same road after losing their opener to Southern California 50-14.
After two tough years, Nutt is enjoying the success.
He jumped out of his chair after his interview after the South Carolina game and shouted loud enough for his players in the shower to hear: "How bout them Hogs!"
Nutt Welcomes GameDay: ESPNs "College GameDay" crew will do its show from Fayetteville on Saturday.
"Its great for the school, Nutt said. "Were going to use it immensely for recruiting. It will let the world see our facilities and the pa$$ions of the Razorback fans.
Cutcliffes Return: Nutt said David Cutcliffes return to Tennessee as offensive coordinator has made a terrific difference to the Vols. Nutt coached against Cutcliffe annually during the six years Cutcliffe was head coach at Ole Miss.
"Its unbelievable, Nutt said. "The receivers dont look the same. The quarterback doesnt look the same. Everybody is much more polished.
Scouting Crompton: The Razorbacks will be analyzing Tennessee freshman quarterback Jonathan Crompton, who played three quarters against LSU in relief of injured Erik Ainge.
"Hes very accurate and looks like hes got a little more fire to him, Nutt said. "He throws it right down the field in perfect flight to (Robert) Meachem and (Jayson) Swain.
"Both (quarterbacks) are about the same. We dont have to worry about a running quarterback.
