The question was "could you imagine a team going undefeated in the SEC and not playing in the championship game?"

Mark said no way when you consider the SEC has Florida, Georgia, LSU and Alabama in it?

Notice any thing missing? :finger:

I mean seriously, to mention Alabama (a team with 5 wins against Div 1 teams) as one of the reasons the SEC is tough but to leave out UT is ridiculous :moon2:

I agree whole heartedly...It seems like ever since we won the National Championship over FSU that we've gotten no respect....I agree with you though, that is pathetic that they mention a 6-6 Bama team and not mention a 10-2 Vols team that beat Bama and all the teams that they mentioned.....Oh well..Let them have their favorites

I just shot ESPN a e-mail on this intro from a supposed football expert. This channel is the National Enquirer of sports reporting.

I hate all of those guys. It seems like all of them hate Tennessee. Mark May, Trev Alberts, Lee Corso. That's ok, we'll show them next year.

If I were CPF I would play that bit every gameday as a motivational tool to the team.

And everyday during practice the weeks before the LSU, Florida, Georgia, and Alabama games.

If he played every knock on UT that espn has made, they would never make it out of the locker room.

I had heard he actually did that before the Florida game in '01, when the 3 stooges were clowning it up that Spurrier would get to leave Florida by putting 50+ points up against Tennessee.

I just don't understand what we ever did to deserve such shunning. I wonder if Fulmer slept with an espn's excutives wife?

I for one think the ESPN shunning of Tennessee goes back to the seasons just prior to winning the NT in 98. There was a lotta smack talk about trailer park trash in tennessee, and of course we had the unimaginable gall not to like being the SEC whipping boy. Also there was an issue over ESPN having its gameday trailers(lmao) in Knoxville for the Florida game, and also again at Tempe in the Fiesta bowl...even questioning whether their on camera personalities would be safe in Knoxville. Im sure the flood of screw you ESPN emails theyve recieved only fuel the smack. Its becoming very clear that theres an official policy of anti vols on ESPN, they absolutely dont miss a chance to disrespect the orange. Herbstriet used to pick the vols some now he doesnt...very few will. What really chaps ESPN's ass is what they dont talk about...the NT, the win %, the fan base.

I want to start up my own sports channel called TSPN. Just show Vol highlights all of the time.

believe it or not, herbstreit has probably been the most supportive of tennessee. he himself claimed that knoxville was the best college football experience and picks us quite often
