Listening to ESPN Radio I think The Heard show. I guess SEC fans are complaining that ESPN College Football Gameday is shunning Knoxville for USC. One comment that was made got me thinking. It was mentioned that there is one college that is so arrogant, that Gameday doesn't even bother to go there anymore. He would not say the name of the school because he didn't want to be bogged down in calls. I don't think he was referring to UT. Maybe it was Nebraska. I've been to Lincoln, NE and the fans there have some serious issues but they probably say the same thing about us. By the way, I remember that we had a hard time dealing with Nebraska's option the same as with Air Force but our defense should be ok from here on out. Screw Gameday.......go Big Orange & White no blue here.1

I'm with you. Forget the Gameday crew. They're just haters anyway, especially Chris Fowler. Besides, we usually don't play well when Gameday comes to town anyway.

I was just going to mention that. Too many lights and cameras for us leads to unwanted pressure.

I use to like Fowler but for some reason the past few years he's got the hot head like he's some celeb. When he talks I wanna be like ummm where did you play?

if they wanted to go to the game of the week they should have gone to LSU/Auburn. Florida/UT could have been the 2nd choice. The game they chose isnt even in the top 3 best games of the week.

Supposedly the excuse was that USC and Nebraska have never played against each other before kinda like Texas/Ohio State last season. Whatever, maybe they're right but LSU/Auburn should be pretty good while USC/Nebraska will be a blowout.

There are several big games this weekend. One of which is USC-Nebraska. That may be where they're going. Any place but K-town is fine with me. Let's give them something to talk about!

Of course they are at the USC game. College GameDay knows they can come to Knoxville for more big games this year (UGA and LSU.) USC really does not have another big time (national interest) game the rest of the year.

I hear the Auburn fans hitting the sports radio air waves in ATL complaining about the same thing.

If they come to Knoxville for the UGA game, they are going to be lonely, and that would be one boring College Gameday telecast.

Actually "Uncle Collie" as he called himself said that the reason Gameday is going to Nebraska - USC is because they wanted to promote thier OWN game. That game is on ESPN. It's business folks.

Why would they promote a game on CBS when they have a historicaly good matchup of thier own? Before you guys flame ESPN, think outside the box. Further I find it very ironic that most of you guys hate ESPN, Fowler, Corso and Herb - and then whine when you feel like you've been shunned by ESPN.

Seems like theres a orange tinted mob mentality around here. As for dissing Colin, thats just a classic case of shooting the messenger.

I said in another thread that it makes sense for gameday to be on the west coast for this game...still doesn't change the fact that colin is a west coast homer.

I agree. It is all about the $$ pure and simple. ESPN does not go to the best game, it goes to the game that is in its best interest

i disagree...i heard him today really braggin on the SEC...he did cover it for two years, and he kept going on and on about how the SEC was hands down the best conf. this year, and is every year, the most passionate fan base in the country....some SU fan called in and he blasted the guy....kept saying "you think you care, but you don't. not like in the SEC."

Perhaps i'm just listening at the wrong times...I haven't listened in a while, I stand corrected.

no biggie..i hardly ever listen to him...not my cup of tea, but he was all i could pick up today driving in Eastern North Carolina....

and man, did he ever lay in to the Northeast college fans...and Michigan...the only fan base he gave any props to outside the SEC was OSU....said they should be in the SEC West...that's the only place for those guys because they were "delusional".

funny stuff.
