at Coker when he flipped in the endzone on his long run. through my binoculars, he was really giving it to him as he should. isnt that how another running back got hurt last year. great run though and great game by the youngster

I couldn't tell if it was for the flip or for the "Jump Shot" celebration he was lucky not to get flagged for.

It's a shame that a thread should have to be made about Fulmer getting in a player's face. Proof right there about what many people on this board have been saying for quite some time...

What's your point?

the fact he was in a player's face for celebrating means that he isn't out of touch and that he is trying to ensure discipline in his young players.

If you are saying that the player WAS undisciplined and that is somehow's Phil's fault, you may want to remove the picture with all the kids flashing gang signs from your avatar.

The two don't jive together.

I think he's saying the fact TCHFCATUTK admonishing a player for questionable on field conduct merits mention shows that some people on here are looking for any reason to criticize him.

First of all, there are no gang signs being thrown up in my avatar. You need to take a closer look my friend.

Second of all, just for clarification, my point was that the fact we make a thread everytime he gets on someone tells me he doesn't do it enough. Would anyone on here make a thread everytime Bruce Pearl got in someones face? How bout Pat Summitt? Nope, don't think so because we would crash the site.

For further clarification, I am NOT saying he is a bad coach, or saying he needs to go, or anything like that. Just stating that with all the off (and on) field problems we have had over the past couple of years maybe he needs to get a few more faces.

A few more faces?

If by that you mean players, again, I don't understand because gang signs or not, that kind of "posing" doesn't exactly show "discipline and deadication" and by you having it as your avatar, you are celebrating those players that are doing it.

I just don't see it.

You should be applauding him for doing it, if that's what it is you are pining for. Otherwise, hat's right, it's just ANOTHER un-fair attack on coach.

How does posing for a picture show a lack of dedication?

OK, again, let me make this easier for the people that seem to not be able to understand COMMON SENSE.

If someone feels the need to make a thread about Fulmer getting in someone's face, what does that tell you?

Like I said, is it a big deal when Pearl or Summit gets in someone's face? No, because it happens ALL the time.

My ONLY point was, Fulmer maybe should get on a few more players more often and maybe we wouldn't have so many issues on and off the field.

If you go back and read my original post, you will see I was not trying to attack Fulmer.

i was just asking about if anyone else saw it. Fulmer didnt aggressively grab him but got in his grill and yelled something. probably, what were you thinking diving in endzone when you can run. great run by the way. But these little things need to be adressed because they are a potential disease in this offense. and we need discipline when they happen. I was proud to see Phil Bobby Knight him and grill him on why he flipped. oh well.no big deal

I didn't see it either, but I wasn't going here since he obviously doesn't understand. The way I see it, the game was over, we put up over 50 on Georgia, and a photographer asked for a picture. Not a problem AT ALL, and again, there are ZERO, 0, cero, NONE, gangsigns being put up in that picture!

No orangeguy you are right. I applaud Fulmer for doing so, simply saying the fact that you or anyone else feels the need to be happy about him yelling says something about him.

Hey
After our pitiful effort running the ball this year, the whole team should have been celebrating Coker's touchdown.

Had we had close to todays effort running the ball against Florida and LSU, you could chalk up to more wins, and we would be in Atlanta Dec 2nd..

I didn't see Fulmers admonishment, I was too busy giving High fives to everybody around me.

I believe Florida and LSU might have slightly better defensive players than Vanderbilt.

I know you're not attacking Fulmer per say. My arguement is that by you whining about the fact Fulmer needs to get in player's faces more, while having a picture of the kids "posing" in the way that they are in a conflict of interests.

Either you celebrate the kids celebrating and showing individuality by flashing all those signs (gang or not, you nor I have ANY idea what they mean).

OR

You call for the elimination of all personal celebrations and individuality, which leads to off the field problems.

You can't have it BOTH ways and get away with it.

I don't think that picture shows anything except kids being happy about a big win.

I'm playing the devil's advocate that if someone is going to say that Fulmer needs to instill more discipline, that same person shouldnt be celebrating the individuality and excessive celebration that that picture shows (if you are one of THOSE kind of people).

The kind of people that think every little thing that a kid does, (like celebrating a touchdown) leads to that same kid or a teammate getting drunk on a Saturday night.

I don't think Lamarcus' mild celebration is an indication of a character flaw. Besides that, getting drunk on a Saturday night is what college kids do. I'm not worried about it as long as they lay low and stay out of trouble. I only get upset when these guys act like their status as football players gives them the right to blatantly break the law. That's not related to Coker, but I felt like saying it anyway.
