Did Johnson win it, or did Hamlin lose it?

I think a little of both.

I do think the 11 team made a big mistake by not repairing the splitter damage sooner than they did. I understand not fixing it after it happened in order to stay on the lead lap but they chose not to fix it the next pit stop either.

They did fix it the following pit but I think you would want to repair it sooner rather than later to maximize the amount of laps left to adjust the car.

The Kyle Busch wreck pretty much killed any chances for Hamlin.

On the other hand, Johnson stayed out of trouble all day and got the best finish possible.

Johnson won it. Hell, he won it on Saturday. Made it easy on himself for Sunday.

a little of both. Johnson did what he had to do and Hamlin messed up by pushing too hard early in the race.

You can say since he was in the lead, it was Hamlin's to lose, but it was not much of a lead in this sport. Johnson did what he needed to win, so how can you say he didn't win it? As much as I wanted either one of the others to win, I cannot take the unprecedented accomplishment away from the 48 team and Johnson.

I don't know if he lost it or Johnson won it, but this was the best opportunity for someone to take down JJ. That team struggled all season after the wing left. They were good in the Cha$e, but they didn't have fast race cars. They weren't dominating fast like we're used to seeing, anyway.

Im glad no one took him out to prevent it. He was as deserving as Hamlin or anyone else.

I am an Edwards fan. I think his time is coming soon.

I'm a big Edwards fan too. I'm glad he was able to snap that winless streak in a big way with two straight wins, but can be keep that momentum going into next year is the question. After Hamlin's collapse, will Edwards be the one who steps up to challenge Johnson?

I almost hate Edwards as much as Kyle Busch and Denny Hamlin, but I think an offseason of work with those engines and he'll be tough next season. I believe the entire RFR oragnization will be stronger.

Jimmie had the advantage by qualifying better than Denny and Kevin. I know Denny won the race from back in the pack last year, but when he had the accident early on, he lost some of the edge even though he was able to get back as high as in the top 10. I think to beat the #48 car, the driver has to have at least a 40 poimt lead or better going into the last race.

Just as the 11 team did last year, I believe the 99 car will carry their late season momentum into 2011 and be a true Chase contender. However, I wouldn't count out the 11 car either. It's a well used maxim, that you have to lose a championship before you can win one. To not include the 48 car in any title conversation would be a mistake. How many consecutive titles can they capture? I hope no more than five.

I hope Edwards is a contender next year, but I just don't trust Roush to be consistent enough to contend for a championship year to year. While teams like Hendrick and Gibbs never seem to fall off, Roush does. Look at Edwards' stats in 2008 compared to 2009. He won 9 races in 2008. In 2009 and up until the last two races this year: zero. How do you go from dominating one year to not even being a factor the next?

Johnson won it. You can't argue with 5 in a row. Chad really knows how to set everything up for those last ten races. I don't see any thing changing next year. Johnson should be the favorite to win it all again next year.
