There were big names at the Auburn game today:
5* Adoree Jackson and 5* David Sharpe

Today's showing wasnt what we needed

If I were a defensive recruit, I would not want to play for John Jancek after seeing how he has coached this season. Then again, I've not played a down of football since seventh grade.

If playing time is a big factor, then no. Any high school recruit would look at this Tennessee team and think they could play immediately

If we lose to Vandy or UK that's gonna hurt recruiting big time

We need players like Jackson to help turn this team around. With him, Payne, McDowell and Kelly this could be a bada$$ secondary next year.

My real concern isn't as much recruiting now, as it is with Janzek and Bajakian.

I don't think game performance factors into their decision that much. However, if they are concerned that players are developing under the coaching staff, they may start to question whether coming here is a smart investment.

I see more stupidity on here. Butch isn't selling this season, he is selling the future. Better players equals a better future. It really isn't that complicated.

No those guys actually know football and know today was as much about talent as anything. They see the chance to play early.

Everyone is down on the OC and DC...did you stop to think that perhaps they are calling a game that is suited to our current talent level???...better talent = better playbook = better game plan = better game = more wins

I think what recruits saw today shows them they can come to Tennessee and play early and play often.

Depends on if our recruits want to play or not. 9 defensive starting positions are up for grabs which means you can almost walk into the 2 deep.
Players coming in see and know the speed difference.

Playing time isnt the only thing players care about. Players like those can prob play early at a lot of big schools. Coaching is most important usually, and I think the jury is still out.
