UT's new offense last night on Sunday Night football. Isn't Washington's offense similar to what CBJ ran at Cinncy?

If so then Peterman will more than likely be the starting QB. Just going by Petermans HS videos. I've not seen Worley have the mobility needed to run that offense. Also, Peterman has a cannon. I'm not downing Worley, I'll support whoever our QB is but Worley is more suited for a true pro style offense.

I don't remember a lot about Cinncy because I was actually driving back from Ohio and listening on the radio. I seem to remember them being a "wide open" offense. Not necessarily the spread but just running and throwing it everywhere.

Only time I really watched Cincy was when they played us last season. Their QB was pretty much outta the shotgun every play. Pass first, run when need be or if there's a lot of open space. If we run that then Worley could be the starter but if we run the Skins offense, the QB needs to be very mobile and Peterman has that over Worley.

I don't think so. Washington was basically just using a read option play the entire game. Basically the same thing Tebow did at UF. We don't really have a qb that is a big enough threat to be able to run it. If the D doesn't respect the qb ability to run then it won't work. Peterman is no RG3 or Tebow.

Unfair to mention the kid in the same sentence with two Heisman winners. I wasn't trying to make him sound like an all world QB just saying he's more suited for the spread than Worley is. Hopefully his career will end up being that kinda QB. Neal, Lane, Young or hopefully a big-time recruit at RB will need show out cause you need a helluva back to make that read option work.

It is much more important for the next year's QB to be able to read defenses and accurately put the ball in the right spot at the right time. The mobility factor is secondary to the other stuff.

Just let the dang competition with Worley, Peterman, Ferguson, and ????? play out. My goodness. Why would we want to try to predict this now. Jones will play the appropriate player that gives TN the best chance to win and mold the offense around him.

Because its a message board and predicting, debating and arguing is what we do. Of course Butch will make the final decision but guessing how the scenario plays out is what makes this place fun.

Maybe for some but not me anymore. The incessant predictions by everyone from fans to media talking heads really has no value in my opinion unless you are putting money on it. It's true that it gives you something to talk and get excited about but to me, it's a waste of time. Just stated my opinion to which I am entitled.
