Did Worley's thumb magically heal Sunday?

Watch him start Worley, who will hand the ball off once. Then he'll come out and Dobbs goes in.

Hopefully, the medical staff will determine that WorleyBird won't be able to play on Saturday and Dobbs will start, lead us to a win on the road. Then Dobbs, having the hot hand, will finish the season as the starter.

I'm not sure they ever said what the injury was. He obviously couldn't deal with it Saturday.

Again, I really think this could all be a blessing in disguise even if Worley continues to start. There is no longer a reason to tell him not to keep it on the read option. He now has a ready back up. If Worley pulls the ball 2-4 times per game on the read option, Lane and Neal will have a lot more room to run.

Who knows who will play but I wouldn't give it away until the game started. Don't let mizz have all week to prepare for our dual threat qb.

Lot of ifs in this. For example, it's possible though not likely that we could win Saturday and Dobbs plays poorly.

While I definitely wouldn't mind seeing him start, I think people are putting too much into his performance against Alabama.

Well, Alabama's defense is an awfully good measuring stick for a true freshman quarterback, particularly one seeing his first playing time and on the road to boot.

They will prepare for Dobbs regardless.

Yep. Alabama had an LB spy on him from the moment he stepped on the field. Blew up a couple QB runs that would have gone long on anyone else. Hate Saban, but he didn't get his rings by being a moron.

Dobbs had 3 runs for 19 yards, including an 11-yard scamper, against the tidy bowl boys. He got rocked pretty good on one carry but "blew up a couple of runs" might be just a bit of hyperbole.

Alabama plays very good run defense against everyone; they have yielded only two rushing plays over 40 yards all season and one of those was the 43-yard run by Rajion Neal.

Nah, they will let Worley throw a few wounded ducks and two ints, be down 21 to Mizzou then put Dobbs in to begin second half.

Sure. I was just stating what I observed on the replay last night. I specifically recall one where he rolled out to the right and tried to make a run for it and got brought down by two defenders at the LOS. There wasn't a whole lot of through-the-tackles, Manziel or Mariota-style running going on, but it was more than good enough to pick up one or two 1st downs if I recall.
