Vols, I tried to post here last nighbt. Managed to get one in on some thread about Marcus Thomas, the Florida lineman with the marijuana troubles. But, my internet went down for the night so I wasn't able to post in the second half of your game.
A couple of thoughts.
First, I did not want to have Florida win the SECE on the back of a UT loss. Hopefully, the Gators want to win this coming Saturday as much as they did before, notwithstanding the fact that they've already won the SECE. I'd have preferred it come down to Florida getting it done -- just feels better that way.
Second, Crompton is a gamer. Sure, he made some mistakes, but he's inexperienced and so of course he did. He is a competitor. Reminds me a lot of Tebow, and you know how much I think of him.
Third, LSU and Arkansas may be the two best teams in the SEC. With the regular conference season winding down to a close, the one thing I can comfortably say about the entire conference is that there is no consistency at all.
And I don't mean that between weekends -- I mean that within games. I have yet to see one of the top SEC teams really dominate a game against another one from start to finish. These games all seem to go back and forth in momentum based on turnovers, penalties, and lengthy periods of complete ineptitude, followed by 90 yard drives that look very crisp.
I think right now that the SEC has the most raw talent in the country of any conference. But I also think that the SEC has the most volatile and unpredictable teams out there.
