We are years not weeks away from relevance ??? Why are so many so worked up ? Don't give me this "they quit crap"... Nobody on the TN sideline quit. They got tired yes, but nobody except clueless "Fans" have even thought of quitting.
It sucks to lose but we knew a .500 record was most likely best case scenario and that would include beating a team we shouldn't ( we did ) and a rejuvenated Vandy team that just beat UGA and UF...
Get some perspective or at the very least don't show your stupidity on-line.

This. Who actually believed before the season that we would do any better than 6-6 or 7-5? Yes we beat USCe which most people didn't think we would do because they we're supposed to win the SEC east in the PRESEASON. We also lost to two teams most people thought we would beat in the PRESEASON in Missouri, and Auburn. However, Missouri will be playing in the SEC championship and Auburn very well may also be playing in it (but doubtful see Alabama). We also lost to Oregon and Alabama two more top 5 teams. Oh and also we're starting a true freshman at QB, and have walk on's and and players who should never see the field in the two deep (thanks Dooley). So the worst thing that could ever happen is to give some of these idiot fans what they want and fire Butch. Honestly who would even think about coming to Tennessee if that happened? Tennessee has had a top 3 toughest schedule this year (would love to see 1 and 2) and you want to fire a coach for going 6-6 with no depth on his roster and not even finished his first year? No one would touch this job unless we wanted the WR coach from Dallas, or the late USC coach. Oh and also that top 3 recruiting class would probably be gone too. Sorry my rant is over, people take the orange glasses off this isn't the 90's we are rebuilding (thanks again Dooley/Kiffin) brick by brick. VFL! GBO! VB!

Guess "common sense" threads aren't popular in our current environment.... There is a much more Vocal minority that feeds on Bi-polar dissention...

They quit. Even the announcers acknowledged they quit.
