Didn't we win last night?

lol....
The 239 passing yards didn't hurt. (more than rushing yards btw) The passing TD was a beautiful route and throw. The deep catch by Squirrel was phenomenal and gave us a score. But I understand your agenda.
Please enlighten me of the agenda.

I enjoyed being at the game and very happy the team pulled it out. People have commented on the noise. It was ok. I think there are just so many people like me … afraid to get excited because we’ve been burned by the Vols so many times before. It was cautious optimism last night. I still the Vols will win 7 or 8 in the regular season. I’d love to be wrong about the win total (more, not less.)

It is obvious the playbook from the first 3 games is THE playbook.
Downfield passes somewhat replaced by bubble screens and a little crossing action.
WR touches in space to Stretch the field and then run it down their throats.
Milton definitely shoulders responsibility for the first INT.

Cheers to the defense for tackling again. UF game looks more like a fluke. OLine played very smart and strong.

Milton has 9TDs and 3INTs passing. Those are not world-beater TD totals, but the INT ratio is historically good.
The TEs are getting a few touches, and look good when they do get the ball.

Defense looked much sharper. Pass rush won the night. USCe did have the long rushing TD, but they were limited on explosive plays.

We look like a team that can play on in a NY6 Bowl when the OLine is stout and not jumping.

At least the team bounced back, while the NEGA element is still languishing around and trying to justify a lack of rational assessment of what happened last night.
We played a helluva lot better. Defense looked night and day better. Milton despite the turnovers looked more comfortable.

I don’t think many are pissing and moaning. Bru’s injury is really somber though; a lot of fans concerned with him. I think some are probably pissed we let Florida get away.
I am. I HATE UF. Despise them. I think part of the reason for their success against UT is the early date the Vols have had with them. I think the new format will actually help UT a lot. Generally, UF has a little more raw talent and that means more early in the season.

Bru will be missed but honestly... the biggest issue is still getting Milton to play to potential. On his first pick, he had Squirrel curled up for an easy 1st down. Instead he stared that throw down and gave them an easy INT. He's got to find a way not to tense up. He's got to play free and instinctive. Hooker was brilliant at one thing more than anything else. He made great decisions. He almost always knew where his best chances were pre-snap and could immediately read where to go after the snap and defense's first move. Milton just isn't doing that. He's never going to be Hooker but he needs to get progressively better.

You would think we lost if you only read the posts on this board. Winning by 3 touchdowns is usually called a "dominate" win and many here are whining about...WHAT? I, for one, am trilled by the progress this team has made in the past two weeks. Cocky had 138 yards rushing last night with 75 of those on one play. That's 57 yards on 26 rushes or 2.1 yrds per play. That's outstanding rush defense. Our front 7 dominated them all night...and we have a LOT of improvement to make.

We rushed for 238 yards. Mays coming back was big we all saw the difference it makes when Milton doesn't worry about the rush coming right up the middle. And guess what...this is Mays 1st game this year. That means he is still shaking off the rust and will even more effective in the games to come. He'll be twice as good in two weeks. The rest of the line will follow his lead.

The team is responding and improving and they have a lot of room to go. When the DE's figure out how to keep control of themselves when rushing the QB, they will be a nightmare. How many times did they just wiff on sacking Rattler. They will get better and they won't have a more elusive QB to chase all year.

A&M in two weeks should be a barn burner. They have way better talent than SCe. Max Johnson is no Spencer Rattler though so maybe we can get to him early and often.

Losing McCoy was a big hit. I do hope it's not as bad as it looked. Best wishes to perhaps our best receiver. I don't know what cocky was doing, but we had two LTs go down. We got 2 weeks to practice and heal and prepare. The A&M game is huge and if we play well we can roll into Bama with momentum.

In conclusion, STOP PISSING AND MOANING, we won BIG. CELEBRATE!!! and GO VOLS.
Where are all these negative comments?? Not really seen them?

Last year, there were even people complaining about a few things after the LSU game, which was probably our best game, top to bottom. People are always going to complain.

People complained about David Leaverton and Tee Martin a lot in 1998.
there were literal complaints the day after the 99' natty game. Prepare thyself.
