Just seemed they were dominated and just going through the motions all day. Maybe I missed something.

Their performance was terrible. It'll take a few years of recruiting to fix it, at least to where we can pressure alabama

Pretty much rushed only 4 all day because our back 7 completely blew. Tough to get pressure on McCarron that way.

It's tough playing the best team in the country. They made us look bad. We will not be bad long.

Was it bad? Our has Bama possibly brought in much better talent over the past few years?

McCullers was recruited/signed for the 3-4 and that's what is his strength is. So not surprising there...

Actually he's looked ten times better in the 4-3. The problem today, especially in the first quarter, was the very basic and conservative play calling. We played and coached scared today. We never blitzed in the first quarter and our OLBs got abused today. I argued with someone yesterday about this, but Bama has so many RBs it's not even funny. They do whatever they want, and with us Neal has stole the show pretty much. No depth.

Well FWIW neither Yeldon or Drake rushed for 100 yards.

come to think of it,Bama did win with there passing game, there wasn't much of a pass rush, the defense did settle down in the 2nd half some and looked better after it was to late

I do wonder what happened to the Vols secondary this game,it was like they disappeared after some really good games

The entire team was a disappointment today, not just the Defense. If they had came out and played like they did the 2nd half of the Georgia game or like last week, then maybe we could have had a more respectable showing.

They didn't though and it showed on the field.

Defense was a passive punching bag. No penetration, no attacking, no disruption behind the LOS. No blitzes. None. Guess they were concerned about big plays but gave them up anyway. Wish they'd do whatever it took to get some pressure.
