In light of "Troopergate" Palin withdraws and McCain appoints Mitt Romney as new VP candidate. Romney goes on National TV to reassure American that he has the ability and fortitude to clean up the nation's financial mess including appointing a special prosecutor to investigate and try the the sleezeballs, both in the executive branch and the congress, including Frank and Dodd.
There are so many independents and moderate Democrats that are not truly sold on turning over the Presidency to a neophyte like Obama, especially in view of his associations with such nefarious characters like Rev. Wright, Tony Reslo, and Bill Ayers, that the poll numbers would reverse overnight.
Unfortunately if the above should occur, I would not be surprised in Biden got whacked and Hillary showed up on the ticket.
