once it was learned that he was staying in 5 star hotels during filming, the sense of danger in his shows fell to zero, I'm surprised it took this long

I have a friend that used to do Feeding Frenzy stuff. His name is Christopher Douglas. From Clinton and went to UT, before getting on some soap operas and B movies.
Haven't seen anything from him in awhile.

I saw this and it makes me kinda sad. I liked Man vs Wild. I know he got caught staying in hotels while filming the show but we all know how real "reality" tv is. His show was very entertaining and learn some strange things too.

I haven't seen too much survior man... anyone seen dual survival? The guy on there Cody... wow. I will never understand how he can walk around bare foot through all that stuff.

they bicker like they're like an old married couple

the show gets too predictable, one of them will have an idea that the other will call "crazy, stupid and it won't work", the other will grouse and tell us how they've done things in the past and the other is a naive douche. Then, the idea will work, mea culpa is issued, and they walk off into the sunset.

it's an entertaining show, but it's as staged as any other reality show

It was two different shows.

SurvivorMan focused on living in the wilderness and surviving the elements.

Man vs. Wild was more about finding ways out of troubling conditions. It showed some situations that could happen and how to escape.

While Survivor Man may not be staged, it is nowhere near as entertaining as Man VS Wild. Also, Bear is also a former special forces guy from the British SAS (which are arguably the best in the world) and it's always fun to watch someone with that kind of training.

False. SurvivorMan focused on finding yourself alone in the wilderness and doing whatever it takes to reach civilization.

i liked survivorman better, especially after some of Bear's scenes were discovered to be staged.

watch it sometimes. it's ok, i'm starting to get overdosed on the survivor shows. i can only take so much of it before the theme keeps repeating itself. find water, find food, buidl shelter, walk out. Only so many different ways to do that before you know the routine.

I'm pretty sure I've seen a Survivorman episode where he just stays out in the woods for a few days and hopes someone finds him. And then radios his buddy to come pick him up. It was boring as hell

I remember one episode of SurvivorMan where he tried to recreate the myth of a pilot crashing in Alaska, breaking an arm, and surviving. He strapped his arm down to make it immobile, and only lasted a day or two before he had to release the arm to make it. He said that was an impossibility.
