I agree...40's just a good, round number and I'm not sure Hardesty gets any...I'm just trying to appease the MC Hammer lovers.40 may be about 5-6 too many imo...but unless Coker gets off to a slow start or is careless with the ball, i expect him to get around 20 carries and Foster will get close to or just above double digit carries. If both Foster and Coker are effective, i don't know how many carries hardesty gets.
you know that sure sounds good, but everytime i think about this kind of situaiton (player comes back from injury, where replacement players are doing well) i can't help but think back a few years when the Steelers lost Jerome Bettis midway thru the season..and Amos Zerowe came in and had a nice little stretch there and actually got the Steelers in to the playoffs...1st game Jerome is deemed fit to play...and they go back to him, and he sucked out loud and the Steelers lost....the whole time, even before that game i kept thinking...go with what got you there!!!!Since we're all speculating.
I think Foster's so close to 100% that his health is not a factor.
I also think Cutcliffe's loyalty to experienced hands in a big game means Foster gets far more of the load than anyone else seems to believe. My feeling is that Foster is the key back in this game. And I don't think he'll disappoint.
Of course I haven't seen Arian run in weeks, so what do I know...
