Yeah, I think it's now just a matter of time before Weis is fired. Evidently, they don't take too kindly losing to Navy yet again. Wonder who else other then these two QB's we could possibly rob from their commitment list if it does indeed happen?

No. He isn't going to be fired. He'll find a way to win out and squeak by. He should be, but he won't. Cowherd compared Weis (loss to Navy) to Pete Carroll (loss to Washington) today on SN. What a joke. Carroll has won championships, Weis has, well, done nothing...

ND should lose to Pitt and Stanford and will probably lose to Conn . If that dose'nt get weiss head , nothing will !

I can't see them losing to UConn, but I didn't see Navy beating them either. I think they finish 7-5, which may not be enough to save Weis' job.

I hope they dont fire Weis cause if they do I think CUM will leave the Gators for that job he once said it was his dream job. Now seeing what UT is building and that we are going to dominate him like he has us the past 5 years i think he would leave in a heart beat!!

i coudnt read that article but i read the one on volquest and he said we are at the top of his list and his leader... coming back in 2 weeks with his parents for he vandy game

I do see Weis getting let go this year but I don't think CUM will end up there. I know he has said it was his dream job, but what everyone forgets is he was offered the job before and he took the UF job instead. I just can't see him leaving for ND imo.

He didnt have CLK to worry about last time though!! He cant stand not being the poster child anymore. Plus ST Tim is gone after this year also.

Interesting article. Can someone link the article though that says he is coming back to UT for the Vandy game. Just curious because in the article it said he was going to visit us for an official and we only have one more home game and it is the same weekend. Plus I am surprised the article left out Auburn, because in his other interviews he seems to really like them.

That article is crap. I don't know if he even talked to Dixon.

He says nothing about Alabama in the VQ article -- just bringing his parents for the Vandy game.

He says he is opening up his recruitment to VQ which means he's decommitting, right? Not according to Hooker who says he still considers himself a Baylor commit.

And I've got news for you, Hooker, UT is not going to offer Matt Simms whether Charlie Weiss is fired or not.

What did VQ say about Alabama ? Was he going there this weekend or next ? I think Bama has a home game when we host Vandy

I seen Ahmed Dixon at the team hotel Sat. before the team meal, he was walking through the lobby with a current player. Personable kid, seemed suprised I knew who he was ( even though he had a name tag on ) and as we passed I spoke and told him that I hoped to see him in Knoxville next year. He seemed to be enjoing himself, a number of players were coming up talking with him, introducing themselves ect...

Couple things:
1) The GVX article may be misleading. I am not so sure we take another QB unless we believe the guy could start next season (not sure that they feel that way about Simms or Reese but maybe). We have too much of a #s crunch to just take another QB for depth-purposes only.
2) The article doesn't mention Auburn who he apparently was leaning to before the UT visit.
3) Even TideWarrior is iffy on his and Bama's interest level at the moment.
4) I DO NOT want Weiss fired. He's got a talented team playing very mediocre and I hate how a halfway decent ND team is treated like royalty w/ the BCS and pollsters. A good coach at ND could do wonders there. I want Weiss to stay at least through his ridiculous 2015 contract. Probably won't happen but that would be ideal.
5) I DO NOT want Meyer to go anywhere. I love the renewed rivalry and the hatred b/t Kiff & Urbie. Furthermore, I want to turn the rivalry back in our favor w/ UF's beloved coach at the helm. I think we can do that w/ Urban staying put. It wouldn't mean as much if he leaves, especially if he's replaced by another Ron Zook-type. I want to beat the best at their best! Kiffin probably feels the same.
