I warned you...the truth hurts us all.

This was the most critical hire maybe in the history of the program.
It turned into an absolute circus from start to finish.
Jones was probably the best we could get at the last minute, but he is surely a knee-jerk reaction to put a end the insanity of this search.
We WILL NOT make big strides over the next 3-5 yrs with this coach, but we wont be the doormat either.
This is a very proud school with a great tradition and expectations are as high as anywhere.... and rightly so.
Fans have every right to be pi**ed off at how this all went down, so dont blame them. The fanbase is the biggest reason why this program has been so elite and admired and we don't deserve to be let down again.
No one is really excited about this hire but this is our team and I, for one, sure as h*ll aint rooting for another team.

I believe this hire has more potential than anyone gives it credit for, the man has done a lot of winning at different programs and spin it how you want but Brian Kelly had nothing to do with it. If we retain our juniors expect to see huge improvement, if he gets the right staff ten we will be in contention for the east by year 3 (possibly next year but his 2nd year will be a rebuild year)

I can appreciate that somewhat. But you have to admit that he has inherited some pretty good programs in some pretty bad conferences. This is just the opposite. Any good coach should have success here and he probably will, but keep in mind that everyone in the country saw this process and to recruits perception is reality. I just dont know if he can go into fl, la, ga, and tx and even come close to recruiting with the big boys, but we will see.
