Last season, I posted a message on another board about how disgusted it made me feel to see our team doing so poorly in the Peach Bowl , yet seem so unaffected by it. Players cutting up on the sidelines, sipping their Crocade, posing for the cameras.....you get the picture. Anyway, it just made me feel that the players don't take a loss as hard as the fans do, which is a little bit of a letdown. Before y'all start in on me, I KNOW it's JUST a GAME, BUT....if the players DID take a loss as hard as the fans, maybe there wouldn't be so many of them. I wonder if the players are taught NOT to take a loss hard? If so, I wish they would teach ME too.

But hey, we BEAT the Crocs in the Croc-Pot!!! That was EASY to take!

As fans...we do live vicariously through the players and our favorite teams. At times it does disappoint me to see that losing doesn't bother the players as bad as it does me.

But, when it's all said and done these players are getting a good education, learning good life lessons through sports, and are getting a free ride...what else can you ask for?? And the bottom line is...it is just a game...there are things much more important! B)

I KNEW somebody would have a smart remark.

LOL! Just kidding.

It DOES kill me to lose though. :bad:

I WISH! I live 6 hours away and my mom's birthday is this weekend. I've already told my husband and daughter that the bigscreen tv is MINE Monday night when CSS plays the re-air. LOL

Do the larger screens still have good-quality pictures? We looked at some not long ago, but the picture quality was TERRIBLE!!

I don't know which disturbs me more, having to listen to a (even remotely) friendly and intelligent conversation between a gator and a vol, or having to listen to a friendly and intelligent conversation between enemy football fans which revolves around who has the biggest t.v. where both parties have systems vastly superior to mine and at least one of them is apparently female.

I have always considered myself progressive, but I still feel that, in the interests of promoting calm, rational change, threads like this are dangerously subversive.

In the interests of the common weal, doesn't the best advice promote approaching certain, profoundly unnerving things slowly, in measured steps? And of all the certain, profoundly unnerving things about college football, don't gator & vol fans having something in common and the idea that a female could have the coolest football-watching-system qualify?

Give us a break.

(Happy Birthday to LadyinOrange's mom. )

How funny. MemphisVol, I appreciate the first-thing-in-the-morning chuckle. I AM female, NC IS a Croc fan, and the big screen tv in my house was bought SOLELY for my football viewing pleasure. I just let my husband and daughter use it in the off-season. :D

Too bad you are married LIO, or I would ask. LOL

Seriously, I think sometimes fans do take it more seriously than players. Some players take the things they are given for granted.
