Win the next 2 games? If we do there is obviously the chance that we end up stuck with Dooley for another year. At very least winning out means we may keep Dooley throughout the bowl season, potentially losing out on available coaches and recruits. I think the best route would've been to let Dooley go now and name an interim coach. Maybe the team rallies and we win out all the while attempting to hire the best available coach as quickly as possible. All that being said I can't possibly root for us to lose against candy or ky. Just a lose/lose. What say u?

If what I keep hearing/reading is true, the outcome of the next 2 games will not matter for Dooley. With that being said, the best thing is to win out and get to a bowl game (even if it is a crappy one).

Folks it's about maintaining some stability to get to a Bowl game where some amount of money can be made. Don't necessarily agree with it, but when you remove the blinders you can see why Dooley hasn't been let go ...yet. Fire him now the team becomes torn and winning out to achieve a bowl berth goes out the window.

Hey, what if Dooley does beat Vandy. Since the Vols are a 4-point underdog, would he try to say that was a signature win and use it to justify keeping his job.

:) (; :)

In the words of the Al Davis, "Just win, baby"

We'll worry about what happens later. Never lose to that bunch of snobs in Nashville.

I never root against the Vols. It doesn't matter, I think the decision has been made-they are waiting as to not effect the team with distractions. They want our seniors to have a chance to go to a bowl this year.

The SEC splits bowl revenues among all the members, so UT will get revenue regardless.
